☽ painter in love
━━━━━━━━━Every time Sora returned to her room, her world became black and gloomy again.
Her only light was the moon that Riki had given her.
So she took a large shoebox and removed all the photos she had of Taiyo from her room.
She lingered for a few seconds over some of them, but ended up putting them away anyway.
The box quickly filled up, so she had to go and find another one.
When she'd finished, her room looked empty but more cheerful.
Her room was simply white and without decoration.
Taiyo had been her decoration.
Her whole room was Taiyo.
She wished she had a photo of Riki to add a new zone of light to her room.
But apart from a small moon, she had nothing else to decorate her room.
She went to her window and saw that the moon was beginning to rise.
She wondered if Riki was already looking at it or if he was playing playing video with Jake.
Maybe he'd already been looking at it for a long time.
Imagining that Riki was looking at it too, she found the moon even more beautiful.
Brighter.
More joyful.
More in love too.
Sora loved her new room, empty of sad memories.
Now she could build a room full of life, where Sora would smile in all the photos with Riki.
Her room would be filled with smiles.
☾ ☽
Riki was drawing under the moon, which Sora was also looking at.
It was the moonlight that illuminated his drawing.
He moved away from his paper a little to see if there were any strokes to change, but everything was already perfect.
He smiled and heard footsteps on the stairs.
He rolled his eyes. "It's all right, Mum, I told you five more minutes before I joined you for lunch."
The door slammed and Riki figured his mom must be pretty pissed off at him for being late to the table with his whole family, but when he turned around, he saw Jake, his hands still on the door.
