Mason smiled as Leona reminisced on their lives as a unit, when things were better. "Can you take us to those lakes again?."

"They belong to my father... and when he died I sold the land... but the lakes still exist so I can take you there for sure..."

Samira side eyed him. "Don't make promises to a child that you can't keep...
He looked at her and shook his head.
"I take it no one has had news on Zain?.." she added.

"Nothing!." Khadija said. "Even Paris won't pick up... I bet both of them have gone on some hot adventure somewhere and not told me... I hate when they just go off together..."

"Well, your brother seems to have the same traits as your father for sure... he never knew where his home was either..

Mason slammed his napkin down. "You know what!.. I am sick of this... I came here for the kids... you got to get yo shit together Sam...

"Fuck you!..."

Khadija got up from the table and took her baby sister's hand, she took her away from this. This was how their parents had always been and it drove them insane.

"Why do you have to do this!... I want to co parent our kids amicably but you always got to make it about me and you!.." Mason snapped.

"Maybe I can't have you around here... maybe it likes a kick in the teeth to have you sat here laughing and happy, while I'm still hurting."

"Fine, I will pick them up instead, that way you can be left to yo own misery..

She picked up her plate and threw it at him. "get out!...  just get the fuck out..."

He got his keys and jacket and left. Khadijah came running down the stairs, bypassed her mother and ran out to her father. "Dad!" he turned and looked at her. "please don't leave us here with mom... she is acting crazy all the time now... Leona doesn't need this...she is suffering at school, she misses you too..."

"both of you can come and stay with me any time you want... but you know that she will fight it... especially as she hates me right now... and also Talia will be around, cos she is my girl now, so the derogatory remarks and name calling will stop, the last time you took shots at her was exactly that, the last time"

Khadijah nodded, reluctantly, but she was desperate to hold on to her family in some capacity or another.

Harley watched his sister, just observing her. "I wish you would have told me the truth, I mean, I was here biggin' the man up and all the time yo knew who he was and..." he paused. "that you and him... you know...

"He seems to have selective fuckin' memory that I do know...

"what actually went down between you and him?" he asked her.

"Harley, it is too much for you to comprehend... but listen, if you want a relationship with him then you carry on that is up to you... I won't ever stand in your way... but I can never, okay.. never.." she said with emphasis "so, please don' push for it to happen..

"He was a regular of yours wasn't he... at the D E... I could tell by the look on his face when he saw you... and what was it about Mason... and his other daughter... wow, all of this is way too deep" he said shaking his head. "but, I am still a stoked uncle to be... I am happy for you sis" he smiled.

Harley headed out and as he left her place he saw the car pull up and Mason get out. He held his fist out to dap him with a huge grin on his face. "listen, I know that there is more to this with T and Cassius... She won't say shit... but is it something that I should know?"

"Nice try... she will tell you if she thinks that you need to know anything..." he said.

"Maybe we should go out for a drink some time, get to know each other properly... seein' as you're fuckin' both of my sisters!" he sniggered but he soon stopped when he realised that Mason was not in the slightest bit impressed with his sense of humour and a smile had not even cracked his lips.

He headed on inside as Harley left, he shook his head and closed the door, Talia was standing at the foot of the stairs and looked at him. "I wasn't expecting to see you until tomorrow... In fact I have never seen you here so much... don't you have a business to run?"

"I want you to tell me that you are ready to accept me now... then I will happily go about business..."

"you still want me after everything that you now know!"

"You are still you and I love you... while what has happened to you is fuckin' disgusting beyond words... you are that independent, strong ass woman, that I met and knew immediately that you were, it was the reason I took you out of the club and had you working with me... oh... and did I tell you that I love you" he said again picking her up, wrapping her legs around his waist and carrying her up the stairs.

She linked her arms around his neck and kissed him as he took her into the bedroom and lay her on the bed in front of him. "just stop keeping this pussy from me... you already know that it is mine and mine only..."

"and what about Theo" she said as he roughly tore her thong off of her.

"Oh him... he ain't shit... and you know that... and he will know soon enough" he pulled her towards the end of the bed making her laugh as he dropped his pants. "you a bad, bad girl...

Cassius waved a bag under Rizz's nose, it contained thousands of dollars in brand new crisp notes. "I want you to lure her out so that I can end her ass"

Rizz laughed out loud. "you know who my boss is right?... man you're one crazy ma' fucker fo real..."

"All of this is yours if you just get her to me... there is enough there to set you up in another country man... Mason will never find you...

Rizz thought about the money under his nose it was definitely tempting. "Naw man, I can't do Mason like that...

"Mason has ruined my daughter's life because of this ho... just get her to me, I will kill her myself... it needs to be out of the blue, so she is not expecting anything..."

"Why is that, cos you know that she will fuck you up" he laughed.  "You know Talia is a bad bitch and can hold her own"

"which is why you get all of this to get her to me and I can catch her ass with the element of surprise.." he reiterated.

"Aite... give me half now and then I will take the rest on delivery..." he said.

Cassius knew that Rizz liked her too and was jealous of the relationship that Mason had with her. He smiled and handed him half the money, he truly believed that these men would turn traitor on Mason for money. "I will be in touch with details" he said jumping in his car and taking off.

Rizz laughed to himself and called Conrad. "Man, you are gonna want to hear this....
