CHAPTER FIVE

AMELIA.

Soul jump? Now that's something you don't hear everyday. Still don't answer my question to why five minutes ago I could hardly string one sentence together to make sense, now I can talk without restraint.

"Did I Soul jump? Where did my soul jump to?" Asking it out loud made it sound very stupid.

"When you gave me the necklace, you had a persona change, I think, no not I think, I am hundred percent certain another soul invaded your body and you only recovered yourself when I returned the necklace back". From his scowl I could see even he himself is already questioning his own sanity.

"And the ability to speak, what do you think happened?"
Seeing his eyes already calculating and deducing I stood up and walked towards the open window, this night seem to be too long, never have I ever wished for morning like I do now.

"Sir! Is there a problem?" Finn his assistant can be heard outside the room.

"Everything is fine Finn, you can go back" Mason answered with his eyes still on me, with a look on his face that looked like he was hiding something.

Hearing Finn's retreating footsteps, I looked at him squarely in the eyes, just as he was doing to me.
" Whose soul possessed me?.

MASON.

How on earth do I tell her....

"Was someone from your world?" Amy asked with a straight face and arched brow.

Creepy! How she could guess close was beyond me, now I was starting to miss the old Amy who could barely construct a sentence, this new and improved Amy seems to have alot to say.

"Saying nothing your "highness" only confirms it". 

"......."

Was she been sarcastic with that your highness just now?

"Amanda....My erm wife... Ex wife"

"What? .....how is that possible? Isn't she from the other world?, and how...? Is she dead?" Seeing how panicky she already was, I don't think she would want to hear, she was her doppelganger .

"From what just happened, yes it's possible, and yes she is from my world and no she isn't dead at least the last time I saw her she was very much alive, don't know if she kicked the bucket after I left...."

"You mean after you died?"

How on earth did I not know those quiet eyes and meek behavior were all an act, this was far from the mute Amy, also very different from the snake Amanda.

"So did she say anything useful?"
Amy was already getting impatient and even I was feeling increasingly frustrated.

"No she didn't, didn't give her the chance though, besides I don't know what will happen to you I mean if we let another soul possess you for too long, I mean just barely five minutes it made you able to speak, longer than that might not be good news" .

"You are right, am sorry am snappy, am tired, confused and a hell scared"
sighing she grabbed a glass and emptied the content in one gulp.

"We should get some rest Amy, tomorrow we will figure all these out okay?"
I Chuckled at her horrified look.

"Don't worry, I meant sleep separately, I don't have any designs on you..."  "Yet".
