No more writer's block, yay! Well for now at least. I'm sorry the previous few chapters have been crappy, but its getting better! Promise! I present to you chapter 17!

But I'm only human. And I bleed when I fall down, I'm only human. And I crash and I break down. Your words in my head, knives in my heart, You build me up and then I fall apart. Cause I'm only human.

<LILY'S POV>

'Training was uneventful,' Lily thought as she wandered through the maze, towards the library. Zelina didn't turn up. 'Personal Issues' David had said. Lily didn't believe him for a second.

'This is just like when Simon disappeared!' Lily pondered. She had arrived at the library now. Lily was never a fan of research, but she was worried.

"I knew I would find you here!" Lily's face broke into a grin when she saw Ivy.

"I saw you like 5 minutes ago??" Ivy replied.

"Yea, I know, I thought I might do some research!"

"Wow! The famous Lily doing research for the first time!" Ivy said, sarcastically shocked. "I'm shocked!"

"Well..."

"Oh, I see... What do you want?"

"Thanks so much Ivy! Um, I want to know about specializing and what happens when you don't specialize,"

"You're worried about Rain and Fuzz-head." Ivy said bluntly.

"Well, yea." Lily admitted. "Zelly didn't turn up today, and I think they're putting something in Rain's food,"

"Well, lucky for you, I've already learnt all about it. I'll write a report for you by tonight,"

"Thanks so much Ivy!"

"Yea, what are friends for?"

Lily bounced out of the library. Like Tigger some would say. Like Lily says others.

Lily had never noticed but Ivy had a really cute accent. Almost Irish. That is so adorable!

Later on the day, Lily found a 2-page report slipped underneath her door.

'Specializing' the title had said. 'By Ivy the best and most awesome friend you can ever wish for,'

'Of course she did,' Lily thought skimming the page.

When you don't specialize, a series of tests and experiments are undertaken on you. These tests range from having poisonous chemicals poured over your skin, special formulas injected into your blood stream to 10 tonne trucks being dropped over your head.

'Ouch! That must hurt!' Lily thought. Was this what Zelly was doing? Having inhumane tests done on her? Were they going to do the same to Rain? Were they going to take away one of her closest friends... again?

They couldn't do that. No. Yes, they were special, and had 'powers', but they were still human. They couldn't do it. They wouldn't do it. Would they?

<ZELINA'S POV>

I awoke with a start. I was in a white room as when I first came to the Specialist Compound. This room had a window. I could see David and another guy with his back to me talking. Noticing I was awake, David made a gesture, and the men entered the room.

David came in smiling, as if all was perfectly fine. The man behind him was scowling. Taking a closer look at him, I realized he wasn't a man, but a boy. He looked familiar. He was tanned, and had dark hair, and had a tattoo on his neckline of a clawed paw print. Then I realized. It was the same guy as the one I ran into when I was trying to find the training room.

"Why am I here?" I ask. My voice is hoarse.

"Zelena Blue," The scowling boy said. "You are here for a number of reasons."

He glanced at his clipboard. "First of all, you attempted to escape from the compound after curfew. This you will be punished for. Secondly, you haven't developed your specialty. And third of all, there isn't a third of all, but it sounds as though as I'm making more of a list, thus making it sound more dramatic. Any questions?"

He didn't give me a chance to answer.

"Good. We'll start with your specialty. Whilst you were unconscious, we performed a series of tests on you to try and determine your specialty, however, some of them were inconclusive. We still have a few more tests to do, but you need to be conscious for this. Well conscious in the beginning."

I glanced at the open door, and thought about trying to run away, but unfortunately, I had no idea where I was, and another woman had walked in through the door, pushing a silver trolley.

Maybe I could talk my way out of this? But looking at the totally mad, but hawt boy glaring at me, I kinda doubted I would get anywhere. Out of the corner of my eye, I could see the woman. Now she was messing around with some equipment.

"What do you mean conscious in the beginning?" I asked.

"You'll find out," He gestured to the woman. I glanced at David. He was typing something on a laptop.

The woman turned around, holding a syringe with a pink liquid.

"Don't worry, This won't hurt much," She said in a husky voice.

Taking one look at the giant needle, I panicked, and tried to run. And failed. Turns out I was bound to the chair.

"It will hurt more if you keep moving," Hot boy said, glaring at me, looking bored.

The needle broke through my skin, and I could feel the liquid running through me. What is it? Are they trying to kill me?

"Sweet dreams," the woman said as everything faded out.
