Chapter 18. Mirror Mirror, On The Wall...

A/N: I'm so sorry for not having updated in forever! Forgive me? Without further ado, here is chapter 18 :)

CHAPTER 18. Mirror Mirror, On The Wall...

<ZELENA'S POV>

I find myself in a white room. I could see myself in the mirror. I look closer. I can see myself, and I absentmindedly finger my tattoo. But it's no longer gold, it's red.

"Can you see your aura?" a voice behind me asks. I turn. It's Lily. "Can you?" she insists.

I run over to her, and try to give her a hug. My fingers go right through her.

"I'm a hologram, not really Lily," Lily says. "Can you see your aura?"

'Lily' leads me closer to the mirror. "Focus. It's a bit blurry, but it's there. No one can see it but you. What color is it?" 'Lily' asks.

"Why does it matter?" I respond.

"Just answer the question," 'Lily' says.

I look closer. "It's blue." I say. I look again. "But in some parts white. Why am I here?"

The holographic Lily says "Good," and disappears.

I wake up panting. David was watching his laptop screen furiously, and hot boy was watching over his shoulder. The woman was nowhere to be seen.

I look down at myself, I'm still restricted to the chair. I test my restraints. There was no way I was going to escape this way.

"Your aura had two colors?" David questioned me. I just glare at him.

"Answer the question," Hot guy says. He looks tense. I remain silent. "Answer the question!" he yells.

When I don't reply, his fist connects with my eye. I swear. Loudly.

"Kai!" David says. "There is no need for violence!"

"Answer. The. Question." Hot guy (I guess his name is Kai,) says, emphasizing every syllable.

"I want to know why I'm here. Why it matters what color my aura is," I say.

"You are in no position to be giving requests," Kai growls.

"It's okay," David says. "You are here because we don't know your specialty, and your aura can help us categorize what specialty you have. Different colored auras represent different specialties. For example, people with purple auras tend to specialize in physical things such as sport, fighting, agility and shape shifting. People with blue auras tend to specialize in more mental things such as mind control, and tampering with memories. People with green auras specialize in the elements such as fire, water, earth and air. There are lots more, but we can go on forever just listing them all. Now we need to you to confirm what color your aura is so we can know in what category you specialize in, and so we can help you develop your specialty,"

"What if I don't want to specialize and have a specialty?" I ask. Kai (the hot guy) growls.

"You will want to know about your specialty," David said. "If you put it off, in the future, your powers will go out of control, and can lead you to an early death. So we as the Specialists are trying to not only prevent that, but also do good in the world. We are kind of like the FBI. Not many people know about us, except for the FBI who basically leave us in peace as long as we stay out of their way. Our job is also like the FBI's except there are specialists involved, and if the FBI can't handle it,"
