The Specialists

Chapter 13- Butterflies, Butterflies, Butterflies!

I'm going to try writing in third person, and in Lily's point of view, so bear with me! Luv u all!

<LILY POV>

LILY spent the rest of her afternoon, trying to find the butterfly in her room. She loved butterflies. They were so pretty, graceful and delicate! She wished she could be just like them. Only 4 hours later had she given up, and realized she had been tricked!

"That's not very nice," Lily spoke to herself. She had wasted her whole afternoon- in which she could have been working on her specialty- searching for a butterfly that didn't even exist!

As she got changed into her pink unicorn onesie, she thought about everything she did today. It was an okay day. She had gone to training, happy and on a full stomach, and demonstrated her talent pretty well. She was pretty proud of herself. It was Rain and Zelly she was worried about. The new guy, Daniel was okay, and although Jezzica had a rocky start, at least she knew what her specialty was. Ivy was a natural, so she wasn't worried about her, and Lolly and Pop was... well the LollyPops. They were perfect. But Rain and Zelly... well it was just awkward. They had shuffled up to the stage, and was forced to admit that they didn't know their specialty.

Lily remembered when she was little, and lost, that there was no one to play with in the specialists compound. She had lived here all her life, as far as she could remember. Simon, only four years older than her had taken her under his wing. She was no longer the scared and lost little kitty she was then.

But then one day it all had changed. Simon had his first talent training. He had returned after that, but he was different. Something had changed. He was constantly brought in for tests, and one day he just disappeared. Poof. As if he didn't exist at all. None of the other kids in the specialist program knew what happened to him until a year later, he had re-appeared again. However, when Lily went to befriend him again, he didn't recognize her. 'What had they done to him?'

'Live in fear' he had said. 'You don't know what they can do to you. Pretend to not know, and you will be safe. They are watching you,'

Since then, Lily had won back Simon's heart, and he was just like the big brother that she never had. They went through fun times together. The day he developed his specialty, he had toasted David's butt, and completely destroyed the training room. Her big brother. But he was on mission now. He had graduated. Lily hoped she'd see Simon again.

'I miss him.' Lily thought as she drifted off to sleep...

The next day, Lily woke up with a yawn. Her alarm clock was so annoying, but it was adorable! That was the reason she had chosen it. It was shaped like a real life cat, and it came with it's own matching basket. It's fluffy pink fur reminded her of her past with Simon.

After hitting the snooze button for the third time, she finally got up. Her pink unicorn onesie was twisted, and the tail had tangled itself around her legs overnight. Walking to her closet, she grabbed one of the set outfits she kept for emergencies when she was too lazy to make an outfit. The one she grabbed consisted of a black tank, black tracksuit pants and a pink tutu.

Once she got dressed, she wandered over to the mirror, and pulled her hair into two pigtails, fixing it with two hot pink bows to match, not bothering to brush it at all. By the time she had finished her daily routine, it was 5:00 AM. Taking a last look at herself in the mirror, Lily smiled, and just like when she was a little girl, she skipped out of the room.

It seems as if I'm writing every time I catch my afternoon bus :) I'm craving icecream.
