Irisha
After 10 hours we finally landed in London. Veer helped me out of the Jet and the staff dealt with our stuff.
The driver was already waiting for us. Veer walked to the car and opened the door for me. Once he was assured that I was comfortable he looked over our luggage and then sat beside me in the car.
I took out my phone to drop a message that we had reached safely. Leaning in my seat, I looked at Veer who seemed busy doing something on his phone.
I sighed and focused on my phone, an audible yawn stifling from my lips as I pouted feeling the tiredness seeping in.
"You can take a nap. It will take us an hour to reach the mansion." I glanced at Veer hearing his voice.
My eyes widened slightly, "Mansion? I thought we were staying in a Hotel." Who stays in a Mansion for a few days trip.
That's gotta be freaking expensive duh! Veer and his extravagant habit to waste money.
He looks at me for a moment as his lips curve up in a smile. "We own the Mansion Sonpapdi." He replies flickering my nose with his index finger as I blink my eyes at him.
"But no one from our family lives in London." I raised my perfectly shaped brows at him and he regards me with a nod.
"Not now,"
My eyes slightly widened realising what he meant, "Wait what? What do you mean by now?"
He gave me a childish look but knew I wouldn't stop asking until I know the truth.
"Well Badi ma lived in London. Bade papa met her on a business trip to London. They fell in love, got married and she moved to India." He explained.
Wow falling in love in London. That must be romantic.
"So the place is where Badi mumma used to live before?" I asked trying to connect the dots.
Veer shook his head as he fully faced me, "Umhmm, Bade papa got that Mansion made for Badi mumma because he wanted her to have a place where she lived for almost 20 - 25 years of her life."
Wow! That's cute.
My eyebrows furrowed, "But Badi mumma lived here right? So what about her home."
He gave me a nod, "Her family wasn't really family like. I mean they were not good people and she didn't feel home at her home." He tried to explain it to me.
"So Bade papa made that Mansion and gave her every reason to feel safe and like it here in London." He added giving me a smile as I pouted.
"Wow, they were so wholesome." I mumbled to myself and he blinked his eyes at me.
I looked at him for a moment but averted my eyes knowing he wouldn't answer it.
He glanced at me sensing my hesitation, "You want to say something?"
"No," I immediately blurted out.
"What is it?" He urged.
I shook my head trying to change the topic not wanting to upset him, "Nothing important."
He sighed, his hand comign to my face as he gently asked, "Come-on, go ahead."
"What about Choti ma Veer?" I spoke in a small voice almost fearing the aftermath and like a switch was flipped off, all the softness from his eyes had vanished.
"She is not your choti ma Irisha." He spoke firmly taking his hand away from my face.
"And what about her?" He added further, his voice barely contained.
