*Kaylin's POV*
It's been amazing having Nolan and Josh here this weekend.
And I've loved having Dory around.
A part of me felt comfort in having a little bit of home at my home away from home.
But as one part of me is devastated that they are leaving, a part of me is so excited to get back in to my routine of dance, skate, Troy, and my boys.
I however, was in my room doing my make up when a knock on my door brought me out of my thoughts.
"It's opened." I yelled.
My door opened, Nolan peeked his head in, and gave me a small smile as he walked in and closed the door behind him.
"You all packed and ready to leave us?" I turned from my vanity.
"Packed, yeah. Ready to leave you 3? Never." He shook his head. "Josh is calling an uber now. But, I wanted to talk to you before I left."
"Well." I motioned toward my bed. "Have a seat."
He sat on my bed and smiled. "So, I have had an amazing weekend here. I have a great time every time I come visit you, you know that." He nodded.
"Yeah, I'm glad."
"And, I love it here. I love the campus, the city, the food, everything. And, you're here, Axel and Mads."
"Nolan." I laughed.
"So, I was thinking that, maybe before classes start again, I'd transfer here."
And I swear to god, my entire heart dropped down to my stomach. "What?"
"Yeah. Think about it Princess, you and I, I've saying the distance is the problem. What if I just, closed the distance. I could be down here with you, and I could spend more time with Mads and Axel, I could get a job, and an apartment if you're not comfortable living together and we could spends certain nights together. Jeffries has already said he'd love to have me play for him, and I love it here. I could be really happy here and I could be with you, and-"
"Nolan." I stood up. "You can't be serious right now." I shook my head.
"But I am." He stood up and grabbed my hand. "Kaylin I want to be here with you."
"No Nolan, you can't."
"I can. I have until early august to put my transfer in and-"
"I don't want you to." I raised my voice.
He raised his eyebrows. "What?"
I pulled my hand away, took a deep breath, and ran my hands through my hair. "You're not uprooting your life for me." I shook my head. "And you love Minnieapolis. And playing for U of M. You chose U of M to be close to your parents, and Heidie and Grant. And you can't just make a decision about my life for me."
"Kaylin you've been asking for months to get back together and when I finally think of a way for us to be together, you-"
"I am happy Nolan!" I yelled. "I am happy with my life here the way it is! With my peace, my little family here. You can't just expect me to be ok with you coming in and changing all that! My job, my classes, my guy, I'm happy with all of it!"
"Your guy? Kaylin you've been talking to him for a month! We have years under us right now, I figured you would at least see me trying and do the same! I fucking miss you and-"
"No!" My door whipped open as Josh yelled and crossed his arms. "You can feel however you feel but you're not going to sit here and try to guilt her right before we leave. She gave you her answer, she said no, and I'm not going to sit here and listen to you knock her new relationship when she very clearly told you she was happy, so before you stick your foot all the way down your throat." He pointed out the door. "Out, now!"
