Hello everyone.

Due to a fully planned out day with my kiddos tomorrow, enjoy the chapter a day early.

With love.

*Kaylin's POV*

If we're being honest, I did not expect Lachlin to do what he did.

But when he called me last Sunday night, after the atomic bomb of messages I received from Troy, he told me he realized in an instant that he was dead ass wrong and was already miserable.

But, I also did what he told me to do, and made him sweat it out.

Because it is now Saturday.

I haven't talked to Troy since Sunday, and our apartment is fill with random shit I have received during the week.

I am currently in the kitchen on this lovely Saturday morning, with no counter space, bathing Maddox in the sink and eating a very large box of chocolates as Axel makes his way in from the bathroom.

"Well you look pretty." He smiled and took over bathing Mads.

"Thank you." I popped a chocolate in my mouth. "I have that interview and photoshoot for the school website today. Something about being a full-time student, business owner, and athlete and still thriving." I nodded. "Chocolate?" I slid him the box.

"What number box is this?" He took one.
"Uh." I looked at the top. "Ghirardelli was the 5th box he sent."

He pursed his lips and nodded.

"Say it."

"Kay, our apartment looks like a flower shop." He scrunched his face.

"And it would look like a jewelry store too if I hadn't told Lachlin to tell him no more jewelry Wednesday." I nodded.

"The Chanel bag was pretty though." He shrugged.

"And the Louis Vuitton shoes fit perfectly." I sighed.

"He did say gift giving was his love language." He nodded.

"So is accusations of being a puck bunny apparently."

"You know he didn't mean it." He sighed.

"I know. But he still said it."

"You're miserable too you know. You haven't been on the ice all week to avoid seeing him. The only reason you're going to Fredricks today is because you have to go to an interview, and our home answering machine has 46 messages on it with him saying the same thing."

'Baby I'm so sorry. Please don't give up on me. You're all I can think about, and I am an idiot for everything that happened. Call me please. I miss you.'

And different variations of that.

"I just don't know what to say to him." I jumped up on the counter and tickled Maddox's cheek.

"How about the truth." Axel shrugged. "That he said a lot of things that were really disrespectful and the attack on your character really hurt you. Kaylin, you're not a gold digger, his bank account freaks you out and you're one of the most financially independent women I know aside from what you get from your parents. And you're not a puck bunny or a clout chaser, seeing as you want to keep it private and to yourselves. He knows he fucked up, but you have to admit, if he had a friend coming to stay and neglected to tell you she was his ex, of any kind, which the Laura truth dump was ferocious, that the petty side of you that Lizzy calls Katya would've came out and you would've made him cry."
