*Kaylin's POV*

So it's been decided.

Mom and Dad love Troy.

Frankie, she REALLY loves Troy.

And we left yesterday morning, I slept for a little while once we got home, I just woke up, and I'm already missing Troy.

I rolled out of bed and showered super fast, threw on leggings and a t-shirt, and headed downstairs to see mom, dad, and Chantel sitting at the kitchen table.

"Did you get enough sleep?" Chantel wrapped her arms around me.

"I did." I kissed her cheek. "I missed you."

"I missed you too babe. And dad here tells me that the boyfriend took really good care of the 4 of you this weekend." She smiled.

"That he did." I nodded. "And later, I want to tell you all about it. But right now, I need to figure out what I am doing today."

"You already have something to do today." Dad nodded. "You have an appointment at the garage in an hour."

I sighed. "And you thought THAT was the first thing I wanted to do when I got home?" I raised my eyebrows.

"Well one, you two do need to talk. And two, the sooner we get your car checked, the sooner we'll know if anything needs replaced and can get it done before you leave at the end of the week. So yes. It is the first thing." He smiled.

I pursed my lips and nodded. "Fair enough." I grabbed a burrito and got up from the table. "Wish me luck." I waved and headed out to my car.

Now I'm not going to lie, I drove very slowly.

It's not that I'm scared to see Nolan, I'm not.

It's the simple fact that all we've done since I gave him his ring back is text.

I haven't heard his voice since, we haven't talked about it since, and obviously, I haven't seen him in over a month.

But it needs to happen, because when I leave at the end of the week, they're all headed back to school too to take a week to settle back in.

I called Haylie once I pulled in to the parking lot to see if she'd pick me up in 30 minutes, and made my way in to the office to Daddy Jay instantly jumping out of his chair, basically jogging over to me, and wrapping me in the tightest hug. "Girl no more than a month from now on. God I missed you."

I laughed and squeezed him. "I missed you too. Did dad give you everything you needed from this weekend?"

"Yeah yeah, the guy was a complete gentleman and Frankie really likes him. It's not about what your dad said about him though. It's about what Delaney said that's making me ok with this." He nodded and let me down.

"What'd mom say?" I scrunched my face.

"She said you're glowing again." He gave me a small smile. "And I myself haven't seen that glow in damn near 2 years. So even though I, as your loving, caring god father, want to meet him. I will wait until your comfortable with it. Because if SHE approves, I'm good."

My smile grew. "You're my favorite." I booped his nose. "Are you doing my car, or-"

He shook his head. "I'm not your mechanic baby."

I sighed. "Is he still my mechanic?"

He nodded. "He's doing ok. But being so out of the loop on your life isn't going so good for him. So just, please talk to him. No matter how he may feel about it. Ok?"

I pursed my lips and nodded.

"I've got him though. I promise." He gave me a smile. "Go on." I waved me in to the shop.
