*Troy's POV*

Now I'm praying to god that Duke and Delaney are a little more, cooperative, than Kaylin is.

Because while we were down at the Cabana, the guys helped me get everything figured out for them to come visit.

And it wasn't until the walk back to the villa that I didn't think about that fact.

Let me tell you what though, walking up the beach path and hearing her just singing away, was such a great thing to hear.

It wasn't until we were closer though and I heard her talking that I realized she was on a video call.

"I think with the bridge I want to really bring out the vocals. Like when the music cut out with shape shifting."

"Hold on." I looked at the guys and pulled my phone out. "She's on a video call."

T; We're back, but you're on a video call. Do you want them to use the side door?

She picked her phone up, looked down the beach path, and simply motioned to go around the other side of her table.

They did.

I however sat down at the table in front of her.

She smiled and rolled her eyes.

"Grant I can't right now." She shook her head. "I know you want to get like, a speed to put music to it, I just-" She pursed her lips. "Yes, he just got back and he's sitting right in front of me."

I choked back a laughed. "Called out."

"Shut up." She smiled and shook her head. "Just the bridge."

She cleared her throat, and my god let me tell you. The voice that came out of my girl?

"And I won't give up like this. I will be given strength. Now that I've found it. Oh nothing can take that away."

I smiled and clapped.

"Stop it." She nodded. "Look, I'll call you tomorrow. We'll figure out a day to record it the next time I'm home? – Love you too G-baby. – I will make sure he knows."

Then her computer swooped and she took her headphones out. "Well hi."

"Damn." I nodded. "Kid that sounded awesome. New song?"

"Yeah, it's for mom and dad." She smiled and slid her notebook over to me.

I cleared my throat. "Cause so many people are looking to me to be strong and to fight. But I'm just surviving. And I may be weak but I'm never defeated. And I'll keep believing in clouds with that sweet silver lining." I smiled. "Is this about your dad and Delaney when you guys moved to Shadow falls at first?"

She nodded.

"That so good." I smiled. "You write a lot?"

"The majority of Hot Mess songs." She reached over and took her notebook back. "And before you go snooping those. How was the cabana?"

"Very fun." I nodded. "The beach is gorgeous, we played corn hole and stuff, margarita's were amazing. How was spa shit and shopping?"

She held her hand out to me and smiled. "All pretty, I got a facial and body scrub, and I drank a mimosa and may have spent $100 on books." She pursed her lips.

I smiled, stood up, and pulled her over to one of the day beds. "And what else did you buy?" I laid down and pulled her in to me.

"A few more bathing suits, a dress for the wedding, something for you." She shrugged.
