[Y/N]'s POV

"So we meet again."

A familiar annoying tone called out to me in a teasing way. Now was the last time I wanted to see this 'Aiden' guy. But then I noticed something in the corner of my eye. A tall black humanoid creature with a horrifying smile and sunken white eyes. I thought it was just my schizophrenia acting up again. Did I take my medicine this morning? I think so. I just ignored it, and the second I looked away, it disappeared. Weird.

"Settle down, class. Find your seat with your name on it." A young looking teacher, possibly Mr. Thomas, came into the classroom. I decided to do as he asked and looked for my desk. Which was seated in front of Aiden. How convenient. I scoffed as I took a seat. I could just feel that asshole's glare on me from behind, and how badly I wanted to snap back and lash at him. But I can't, since this is school.

"Alright, we'll be talking about the project you all are assigned today. I'm Mr. Thomas, I'll be your teacher this year." The guy in the front of the classroom said, before counting the students. "28, huh? Well, then, I'll give you the rest of this class period to get into 4 groups of 7, and decide what project you want." He then proceeded to give us a lecture about this place named Savannah, Georgia, which we would have a field trip for. Like Dad would even let me go. I never really went on any field trips. My old school didn't have any, and now that I have schizophrenia, which I vowed to never tell anyone, Dad's paranoid I'll make a world up in a different place. He's a little weird, but we're all weird in our own way.

---------------

How did I get here? In a group with Ashlyn, that energetic asshole, the other brunette guy I forgot about, and three others, including a nerd and a pair of twins. Ashlyn, Aiden, Ben, Logan, Taylor, Tyler, and me. That was the shitty group we had. Now we just had to figure out what exactly we were doing for the project. If only Aiden wasn't being an insensitive prude right now. He was busy begging Ashlyn to go on the field trip since she didn't want to. I was just hoping he wouldn't come to me-

"Oh, [Y/N], are you going?" Aiden asked, leaning close to me. I wanted to say no, but the fear of being asked 'why' got to me. So I answered "yea, I am." Probably the stupidest mistake I have made, but I guess what was done was done, because Aiden came a second later shoving a permission slip in my face. I scoffed as I snatched it from him and read over it. Yea, Dad would never let me go.

The bell rang suddenly, loud in my ears, which I noticed Ashlyn covering her own. Maybe she's weird like that, or just sensitive to sound. I grabbed my bag, and made a dash for the door, hoping that Aiden wouldn't follow me. Thankfully, he didn't. I slowly made my way down the halls of the huge school building, and found myself in a busy lunch room. I looked around for any empty seats, and the only thing I saw was Aiden, waving and yelling my name to come over. Not wanting to seem rude, I shoved my hands into my pockets, and just walked over to where he was. I noticed he seemed to have gathered the whole group, and was still pestering Ashlyn to go. I felt bad for the poor girl, but I didn't want to show it. I sat near the window, while Taylor was next to me, and her brother was next to her. Aiden was at the aisle, with Ben next to him, which I noticed that Ben was always with Aiden. Maybe they were related in some way. Next to Ben was Logan and next to Logan was Ashlyn, who was in front of me. Not too bad of an arrangement. I could live like this, as long as that annoying asshole was as far away from me as he can be.

I silently ate my lunch, which Dad had packed earlier that day. Whenever anyone called out to me, I just looked at them with a glare and went back to eating. Aiden was busy ranting about his skateboard skills, which I didn't have the energy to hear. I looked outside the window next to me, which basically covered the whole wall. And then I noticed something off in the distance. In the corner, where it was dark, too dark to see, I saw a figure. The same figure I saw in the classroom. I was starting to doubt if I took my pills today, but I just shrugged it off and went back to eating.
