Aiden's POV
"He's really happy around you. You probably mean the world to him."
I heard Ashlyn say to [Y/N]. I noticed them gone, so I thought I would go and see where they went. Turns out, they were behind the last bus in the row. I felt my face turn slightly red as I heard those words from Ash. I wanted to yell at her, I told her not to say anything! But wait. This is one of my only chances to learn something about [Y/N]!
"W-what?" I heard [Y/N] stutter out.
"C'mon, do you like him? 'Cause I'm sure he likes you!" Ash said with a teasing smile.
...
[Y/N] didn't say anything. Not for a good quiet moment. I was about to leave due to boredom when I heard words I thought I'd never hear.
"So what if I do?"
I heard Ashlyn snickered, to which I slowly leaned my head to see their conversation. Ain't no fucking way. The person of my dreams... liked me back?
I quickly snapped out of it, and looked at my watch. Shit, it was 11:59 PM (iykyk). I yelled out without another thought, "Ash! [Y/N]! Time!" Right before I ran back to the school bus. We had taught Ben how to play the guitar, so that way, we could sing "Happy Birthday" to his little sister. Totally not shifting right before that.
"You remember the chords?" Tyler asked as he handed the guitar to Ben, who simply nodded. Ashlyn and [Y/N] ran onto the bus, slightly out of breath.
Ash then went on about testing the distance limit in the phantom dimension to here, which wasn't a bad idea. And then it turned 12.
Shifting didn't feel so bad after you've done it a few times. I was waiting while the others got their supplies, mostly this huge flashlight. I was standing aside, since I would be the one to run and open the graveyard's doors.
"Alright, you know what to do? Close the gate when we're done and--" Ashlyn started, but I cut her off. "--to the other door. Wait for you to honk, then run to the car." I waved my knife around. "I got it, don't worry, Ash." Before our plan was initiated, I took one last glance at [Y/N].
A/N: I'm so srry about the short chapter. My keyboard was not working with me, and I have a HUGE lack of sleep. I'll try to make it up eventually!
And tmrw is one of my feinds (NOT BEST FRIEND, JUST FRIEND) birthday, and honestly. Fuck her gift, I need my sleep.
