˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥ whilst hyunjin continued to hold felix in his arms, jisung while still in his room was getting worried because of the silence. he had heard yeonjun leave but he hasn't heard any other voices in a long minute. so he did the only thing that seemed reasonable, he ran out his bedroom to check on his best friend.

he aggressively opened his door, ready to scream in felix's defense just in case he needed it but he immediately faltered his steps when he seen felix in hyunjins arms, visibly still upset.

with a sad sigh, he walked softly towards the pair, causing both of their heads to lift up at the suddenly movement and noise.

"oh, lixie," jisung trailed off his arms reaching out towards him and the minute felix heard his best friend's voice, he didn't hesitate to detach himself from hyunjin and jump into jisungs arms.

jisung simply just sat down and continued to hold felix in his arms until he was ready. hyunjin just watched fondly as he let out a breath, happy jisung was here.

after a few minutes of pure silence, felix lifted his head from jisungs shoulder, sniffling and wiping his eyes.

"thank you, thank you both for taking care of me even though i don't deserve it.." felix mumbled sadly as he looked down at his lap.

"that's bullshit, felix. you're allowed to be hurt you just ended a serious relationship." jisung spoke softly yet passively as he reached his hand out to wipe felix's remaining tears.

"he's right, felix. you do deserve to be taken care of." hyunjin leaned forward as reached his hand into felix's hair.

felix turned towards hyunjin , and gave him a sad smile.

"jisung, can you give hyunjin and i a moment? after that i promise i'll explain everything." felix turned his head towards jisung.

"yeah of course, i'll just be in my room." jisung gave a kiss on felix's forehead and stood up to leave.

once felix heard the door click shut in jisungs room, he turned his body towards hyunjin, looking directly into his dark amber eyes.

"hyunjin, i really want to be with you, i do," hyunjin couldn't help the smile that spread across his face, "but," and immediately after hearing the 'but' he felt his smile slowly drop.

"it wouldn't be fair to you nor our relationship to start it off like this. i'm still affected by my relationship with yeonjun and need some time to just recover and just revisit myself. after all, i am a cheater and that's something i can't just ignore. i need to figure out what i really want in a relationship and work my insecurity issues. we need a fresh start with just me and you and nothing else involved."

felix furrowed his eyebrows as he tried to show his sincerity. he did like hyunjin but he didn't like who he was as a person or who he turned to so he needs to take some time off and focus on himself.

hyunjins silence begin to worry felix as he nervously scammed hyunjins eyes trying to find any emotions but the only one he found was sadness. god he was just breaking everyone's heart today.

"i-" hyunjin started but closed his mouth. "god felix.." hyunjin sighed as he leaned forward and rested his elbows on his knees, holding his head.

"don't mad hyunjin, please.." felix whispered as he swallowed the lump that was in his throat.

"i'm not felix, i promise, i just-" hyunjin sighed as he looked at felix, "i understand what you're saying and i figured this was going to happen but it still sucks to know i have to wait a longer to have you."

felix frowned as he moved closer to hyunjin, hugging him from the back and laying his head on his back, "it's not forever, hyunjin. just not right now. i want to be my best and happiest with you, you deserve that. don't you want a better beginning for us?"

"i don't care if you're at your lowest with me and you end up treating me like shit, i just wanna be with you." hyunjin whispered desperately.

"i won't allow that. listen, i won't expect you to wait for me-"

"i never said i wasn't going to wait. because i am." hyunjin interrupted.

felix smiled slightly into his back, his cheeks squishing into them, "okay, that's up to you. but what decision i'm making for myself is that i want to be  better person for you. so please hyunjin, allow me to do that."

hyunjin thought for a few moments until he finally spoke up, "okay," felix smiled and squeezed him tighter.

"i waited 5 months for you, i can do another." hyunjin chuckled weakly as he looked at his fingers noticing the two matching couple rings on his fingers.

he reached forward and took one of them off his finger. he reached up and grabbed one of felix's hands, sliding the ring onto his finger, "just don't forget about me, okay? i'll be waiting for you." hyunjin leaned forward and planted a soft kiss onto felix's fingers, letting linger for a second.

"the ring will be a constant reminder that you need to find your way back to me so keep it with you, okay?"

felix smiled brightly as he pulled his hand towards him, glancing at the rings, "okay, hyunjin."

felix cupped hyunjin's face softly turning his head towards him as he looked at him with sparky love sick eyes, "i'll give you a reminder too..." he leaned forward and planted a soft gentle kiss on hyunjins lips, smiling into it as he felt hyunjin immediately kiss him back. oh how great it felt for them to kiss without the fear of being caught.

felix was the to pull away as he gave one last peck onto hyunjins lips, "i really like you hyunjin." felix spilled for the 4th that night, he couldn't help it , his emotions were all over the place.

"you already know how i feel about you but i'll say it again," hyunjin smiled as felix giggled, "i like you too, felix."

"i should be heading out so you can talk with jisung," hyunjin leaned forward and kissed felix's forehead, "i'll be waiting, freckles."

and with that hyunjin stood up and gave one last glance at felix before walking out the door feeling accomplished yet defeated.
