Father Christmas and Leo were right. The snow is melting, and the ice will be going away for a very, very long time. Now that it was getting warmer outside in Narnia, the ice that covered the entire river and waterfall began to break away, the pieces going downstream.

Leo, Donnie, and Mikey were amazed at the amount of water flowing with tons of ice breaking and floating down the rough currents. Seeing this caused Mikey to bundle up his coat a little more. "This isn't going to be easy..."

"No." Don says, shaking his head.

Leo could see the ice was breaking away quickly near the frozen waterfall of the river. "We need to cross. Now."

"Wait, don't beavers make dams?" Mikey asked the beavers.

"I'm not that fast, Mikey." Mr. Beaver stated.

"Come on!" Leo leads them on.

"Wait!" Don stopped his group. "Can't we think about this for a minute?"

"We don't have a minute, Don." Leo replied to him.

Don cleared his throat. "I'm just trying to be realistic!"

"No!" Leo said out of panic. "You're trying to be smart! As usual."

Don rolled his eyes. Then, he heard the wolves in the distance howling, closing in on their trail. This means the White Witch isn't too far behind. Donnie, Leo, Mikey, and the Beavers climb down the steep rocks to make it to the frozen river's surface. Leonardo could hear the ice creaking underneath his feet and noticed a long stretch to the other side of the river. "Oh, man..."

"Wait." Mr. Beaver says, standing in front of Leo. "Maybe I should go first."

It's not a bad idea. Leo nodded. "Maybe you should..."

Mr. Beaver took a few steps forward to step on the ice. He tested the weak spots, slapping his tail on the cold surface. His wife noticed something about her mate. "You've been sneaking second helpings, haven't you?!" She chuckled.

"Well, you never know which meal's gonna be your last!" He looked back at her with the three brothers. "Especially with your cooking." He continued to walk as the siblings and Mrs. Beaver trails behind him.

Donatello was so nervous. He wondered how their father would feel about this. "If Dad knew what we were doing..."

"Dad's not here." Leo said to him.

While Don and Leo were bickering back and forth. Mikey took a quick gaze to see the wolf pack had made it to their location. They were running along the top of the frozen waterfall. "Dudes, look up! The wolves."

"Run!" Leo called, sprinting across the river's width.

"Hurry!" Mr. Beaver cried out.

Maurgrim, the pack leaders, lands in front of the brothers with a great snarl. A second wolf was right beside him. Mr. Beaver had great courage to be just as aggressive with the wolves. He snarled at them, too, but Maurgrim's packmate lunged to clasp Mr. Beaver in his jaws. Mrs. Beaver cried out, "No!"

"Leo!" Mikey shouts in fear.

"Put that down, turtle!" Maugrim growled at the leader, who was pointing his new sword toward the dog. "Someone could get hurt."

"Don't worry about me! Run him through!" Beaver shouted at Leo, still pinned by the second wolf.

"Leave now while you can, and your brother leaves with you." Maugrim lied to him. Leo isn't backing down.

"Stop, Leo!" Donnie was trusting this wolf too much. Fear was driving him to listen to Maugrim. He shook Leo's shoulder to get him to obey the threat. "Maybe we should listen to him!"
