Chapter 13: Ace and The Race.

We were at the race that we were taking part in. Jason and I weren't taking part I wasn't because I wanted to save my energy and he wasn't because he didn't want to leave me alone which I found quite sweet.
"As mayor I am delighted to welcome you to the Lake sunshine Fub-athalon winner of the most events will get this beautiful trophy and don't forget to say hello to bubbles the lakes mascot." The mayor said.
"Hello bubbles." Preston said.
"Come on presto." I said as I dragged him over to us.
"Sarah and Hayley." Preston said.
"Yes." Sarah said.
"You're on the green team with me.." Preston said.
"Oh cool." Hayley said.
"Calvin and Levi we are on the orange team." Brody said as he handed them bibs.
"Thanks." Levi said.
"I got each team a baton." Calvin said.
"Thank you." Hayley said.
"Oh what." Calvin said as he walked forward.
"Hey where are you going? The race starts soon." Hayley said.
"That's Ace and his crew." Calvin said.
"Ah who is Ace?" Levi asked.
"He only has the coolest car in town and he.." Calvin said.
"Totally rebuilt the engine himself." Hayley and Calvin both said.
"Yeah I remember awesome Ace." Hayley said and we all laughed.
"Don't worry I will be right back." Calvin said and he ran off.
"Don't worry if he isn't back in time I will join your team." Jason said.
"Let's get ready!" Brody said as we all walked to get ready.

It was some time later and Calvin still hadn't returned.
"Gather your teams the relay race is about to start remember each team has to take turns in carrying the baton." The mayor said.
"Hey guys did you find Calvin?" Preston asked.
"Mick said he saw him pushing Ace's car into shop class." Sarah said.
"But without Calvin we don't have a 3 man team." Levi said.
"Don't stress remember we are here to have fun." Brody said just as Jason was going to offer to take Calvin's place this guy comes up and he looks suspicious.
"Looks like you are short a runner Name is Bob Shoespike but you can call me Shoespike and I even have own baton what do you say? Can I run with you?" He asked.
"Well uh that is mighty lucky I'm Levi and this Is Brody." Levi said.
"Hey I am Brody." Brody said.
"Welcome to the team." Levi said. They then walked away to do a team pep talk.
"Okay every body to their relay positions and remember like Brody said we are here to have fun." Sarah said.
"Yep whatever." Brody said as he walked off ignoring Sarah's high fve.
"You're going to eat our dust." Levi said and he walked away to. They then walked away.
"What was that?" Jason asked.
"I don't know, that isn't like Brody." I said.
"And that isn't like Levi." Jason said. We ignored our feelings for now as the race started.
"We won!" Levi said and they all cheered and they were all mocking the others and by that point I knew something was wrong.
"Brody!" I said.
"Levi!" Jason said but they ignored us.
"What is up with your boyfriends?" Sarah asked.
"I have no idea." I said.
"I am going to find out!" Preston said as they walked over to them and we followed.
"Hey that was totally uncool." Preston said.
"Yeah why are you guys being suck jerks?" Sarah asked.
"Because we are...winners." Brody said.
"And you are losers." Levi said as they started laughing.
"What is wrong with you!" I said.
"Oh get a grip." He said.
"Excuse me?" I said.
"Yeah I just won and you are taking the losers side." He said.
"Unbelievable." I said.
"This isn't you Levi." Jason said. All of a sudden Hayley turned into a trophy.
"Hayley!" Preston said and then he was next.
"Preston!" Sarah said and then she was a trophy.
"Guys." Brody said and we knelt down beside them.
"Whoa guys I cant move." Preston said.
"What happened to us?" Sarah asked.
"We have been turned into trophies." Hayley said.
"What the hell?" I asked.
"Oh my god." Jason said as we saw that everyone else had been turned into trophies.
"I turned them into trophies because their losers." Shoespike said and he turned into a monster.
"You're a monster?" Levi questioned.
"Yeah and your friends will remain trophies forever unless you can beat me." He said.
"I can beat you." Brody said.
"Oh dear." I said.
"And you too I'm stronger and smarter." Brody said.
"No way! I could beat you and shoespike any day." Levi said.
"Guys stop." I said.
"Yeah come on you're brothers!" Jason said.
"Easy there bruthas you have to beat me not each other." He said.
"For once I agree with the monster." I said.
"How about a 3 legged race? And if you lose, I get your power stars." He said.
"We will kick your monster butt!" Brody said as we morphed.
"Let's race." I said.
"Yeah come on brutha." He said.
"This is insane." I said. "
"Yep." Jason said. We were getting to race.
"Let's kick this monsters butt." Brody said and I then saw Calvin and I felt dizy.
"Damn it." I said.
"Liam?" Jason asked and I then stumbled.
"I feel dizzy." I said.
"Sit down." Jason said and in the meantime Calvin went and helped Brody and Levi.
"Are you okay?" Sarah asked.
"Jeez you scared me." I said.
"Sorry." She said.
"It's fine," I said. Soon the others changed back to their normal selves.
"Guys go." I said and they nodded before running off to help Levi and Brody defeat Shoespike.

I was trying to find my way back to the school and my head was a mess. I couldn't think straight. I then made it back to where the fun-althon was I walked up to the others.
"Liam!" Brody said and hugged me.
"I'm okay," I said.
"Hey guys I think all the trophies have turned back into people." Sarah said.
"I am really sorry about today guys turns out Ace was all talk but even if he wasn't you guys are the coolest friends ever I should never have ditched you hope you can forgive me?" Calvin said.
"We all make mistakes what matters is what you do to correct them." Hayley said.
"And helping us work together in that race...it was epic." Brody said.
"Yeah." Levi said and then I grabbed Jason's shoulder.
"Li?" Jason said.
"I don't feel good." I said.
"Hey what's wrong?" Brody asked.
"I don't know." I said.
"We better get you back to the base." Sarah said.
"NO LEAVE ME ALONE!" I yelled and ran away.
"LIAM WAIT!" Jason yelled but I ran away.

A few hours later:
Somehow I ended up back at the school, I was hurt and my head was pounding.
"We have to find him!" Brody said.
"Bro chill." Levi said.
"I cant! He is out there and he is hallucinating." Brody said. I then managed to get in and I felt myself falling and someone catching me.
"Liam!" Brody breathed.
"Brody I don't feel good." I said.
"I know it's okay I'm here." He whispered.
"Jason!" I panicked.
"Hey I'm here I am right here." He said.
"Galavanax.." I strained.
"Just calm down." Jason said.
"We are all here and we are safe just calm down." Brody whispered and I then fell asleep or passed out.

When I came too I realised that I was laying down and I shot up.
"Hey it's okay." Brody said.
"What happened?" I asked.
"You were hallucinating." Jason said.
"The last thing I remember is being at the fun-althon." I said.
"It's okay Mick says it's because of the poison every time you morph you will now hallucinate." Jason said.
"We need to get rid of the poison!" I said.
"Mick is trying." Brody said.
"I hate this." I said.
"We know." Jason said.
"I'm tired I am going to sleep some more." I said and they nodded but they didn't leave my side.
