"I'm Batman and I'll save Gothem city!"
"Uhm... is that a child...?"
"She summoned a child?"
"What is Batman and where is Gothem City?"
Elise and Alisa walk over to me.
"N/N... who is that...?"
"Y/N... Where did this child come from...?"
"Don't ask me I'm equally as shocked and confused..."
The child runs over to me and hugs my leg.
"Master! I'm here!"
What went wrong with the summoning?
Looking back at the child, I suppose he does possess similar traits to Batman... His black hair and red eyes, most of all, his wolf ears and tail...?
'Batman' continues wagging his tail as the professor walks closer to examine him.
"Miss L/N, there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with the summoning. This child is indeed your familiar..."
My Cerberus, a three headed ferocious wolf, turned into a child?
"Pfft- a child for a familiar? Now that's something."
Of course, I didn't have to turn around to know who that was. It was Blair, and standing next to her, the dragon familiar she summoned.
I stared back down at 'Batman', who seemed unfazed by the large dragon that was at least 100 times his size.
"Well then, if everyone here is done, we shall begin practice battles with our familiars."
The professor leads the students to a large arena where many battles have taken place. The students would have a friendly familiar duel with their seat partners.
"Let me explain the rules. Both familiar and master will fight against another opponent. Students are not allowed to seriously harm the opposing team."
"Any damage done to the arena will not affect you. This arena is specially enchanted to be able to return back into its original state, so students can practice without worry."
"If both master and familiar are knocked out, the opponent will win. If one side surrenders, the other wins by default. Should the situation get too dangerous, a professor will step in."
The students got into their pairs. Batman, who is currently sitting on my shoulder, looks over to Blair.
"Master, is she the one causing problems for you?"
"Well... a little. She doesn't really like me, but she hasn't done anything yet."
"I see."
Blair and I get into our positions in the arena.
"Hey, Batman, can you still fight in your current form...? Will it be okay?"
"Master, I assure you, I won't hold you back even in this form. If anything, after gaining this form, I feel even stronger."
"Hey, are you done whispering there already? We're supposed to fight!"
Batman nods and gets into position.
Blair's dragon rushes forward, aiming for Batman.
"Sit."
The dragon obeys and wags his tail obediently.
"Uhm... Batman... what are you doing?"
"What did you do to my familiar?! This is cheating for sure!"
"Roll over."
The dragon rolls over obediently. Batman rubs the dragon's tummy as the dragon wags its tail even more...
"Can somebody explain what's going on here?"
Blair groans and just decides to attack me herself.
"I don't know what you did to my familiar but this won't affect the result!"
She throws a shadow ball at me. I draw my blade and quickly slash at the ball. Instead of vanishing, the ball is redirected back at her. But bigger.
Heh, this blade I got from the Gacha isn't too bad after all. By merging all those dull blades I got from the Gacha with some special ores, I was able to create an SS rank blade that can reflect attacks. Of course, it would only work on lower rank attacks, being anything lower than an SS rank spell.
"What the-?!"
Uh... I think I underestimated that... the shadow ball reflected was two times bigger and stronger than the original... is it too much for her...?
"Ugh.. Damnit."
Just before the shadow ball could touch her, I swooped in and caught her, dodging the shadow ball.
"Are you alright?"

That girl is more overpowered than I thought...! First, her familiar does something to my legendary dragon, and then she reflects my attack?!
It may have been a low ranked attack, but I actually put it more mana into it, so it's much stronger than a normal shadow ball...
When it came flying back to me, it was two times as big!!
"What the-?!"
I shut my eyes tight.
Suddenly, I feel a warm pair of arms wrap around my body.
"Are you alright?"
I open my eyes. Too close!! My eyes widen.

I stare at Blair for a while. She doesn't seem to reply. She must've been flustered after almost getting hit by that attack...
"Master, I'm back."
Batman comes back with a dragon following behind him like a lost puppy.
That was when I realised I was still carrying Blair. I put her down.
"Since no one ended up surrendering or getting knocked out, the match isn't over yet... right?"
"Actually, master. The girl's familiar had already surrendered."
Familiars can choose to surrender too? That's new.
"Oh, in that case..."
I turn back to the flustered Blair.
"Looks like I won this time."
I smiled at her.
I'm not sure why though, instead of glaring at me like usual, she seemed to be surprised, maybe even embarrassed.
Meh, doesn't matter.
I hear a clapping sound coming from behind.
"Your highness! This...!"
"I saw the whole thing, Lady Blair. It sure was a short fight, but interesting nonetheless."
He turns his gaze to me.
"You are quite powerful, aren't you, Miss L/N?"
Elise and Alisa walk over too.
"N/N... you were carrying Lady Blair just now, weren't you?"
I'm not sure why, but my instincts tell me I'm in huge trouble now.
"Master, the professor is calling!"
