The Uninvited Guest [Chapter- 10]

After some time, police arrive and tells her that husband has informed that Aquib tried to kill them.  They fought back in self-defense and he died accidently. Jinn had vanished other bodies and created the scene so that police believed his story.

After completing their work, the police leave the scene. However, Nadia remains numb. Quietly she enters her room, goes in the bathroom and turns on the shower. There was a storm of thoughts, sounds of angry roars and screams of those attackers, images of blood and dead bodies running in her mind, she just stood there with blank face. After coming out, she put on dry clothes and just fell on her bed. She wakes up next morning with the daylight coming in her room. Last night's flashes hit her, and she gets out of the bed abruptly and runs out of her room. To her surprise the villa is quiet and everything well organized, no signs of aftermath of last night. She knew who did it, but he is not there.

She heads the doorbell, she hesitates to open the door. It's Esma, she hugs her tightly. "Adeel called us! And told everything that happened last night. Are you ok? "

"Where is he?" Nadia asked. "Maybe at police station, don't worry he'll be back soon."

He grabs her from shoulder and leads her inside. "Others are coming too"

"No! No! They don't have to bother. I am fine! " Nadia says.

"Ok! But I am not leaving you alone" Ezma pulls her in the kitchen. She stays with Nadia all day and take care of her.

Nadia is sitting in the living room , near the window. She is having coffee and looking at sunset.

Adeel (jinn) is standing at the entrance of the villa. He is hesitant to enter.

"Come in! It's your home!" Ezma pulls him in.

Nadia turns and stand up on seeing him. Adeel(jinn) doesn't walk to her, he is just standing there, they both are looking at each other but not saying anything. Ezma notice this "All good?"

"Yeah!" Adeel says without taking his eyes away from Nadia. "Everything ok! Nobody will bother Nadia... ever again."

Ezma exhales "So you both can live peacefully now! "

Adeel(jinn) is waiting for affirmation from Nadia. She steals her glance, looks down. She leaves for her room without saying anything. "She doesn't seem ok! She didn't say word all day." Ezma whispers.

"Did she eat?" he asks abruptly.

"Yes!" she assured him.

"She is in shock...she needs some time." she puts hand on her shoulder. "She'll be fine! Don't worry." He smiles.

"How come you both have no injury? You both were attacked last night, right?" she seems surprised.

Adeel(jinn) turns away his face immediately and walks few steps away from her.

"well! I locked her in the room as soon as I realized what was Aquib upto. I got injuries, police sent me to hospital right away after taking my statement." He gently rubs his abdominal and side of his forehead. A bruise appears on his forehead , he opens few buttons of his shirt and turns. There were blue ,red bruises and bandages on his chest and shoulder.

"Oh my God!" She hold him gently and make him sit. "You need rest." She rubs his shoulder "Why don't you get some rest and I'll bring for you to eat."

"Thanks!" says Adeel(jinn) and leaves.

Ezma enters in Nadia's room with a tray with food "Where is he? I sent him to take rest"

"He is in the next room" Nadia replies.

"Why is your husband in another room?" She places the tray on the table and sits next to her friend. "what's wrong?" You both have faced so much, finally everything is fine. Why are you being cold to him?" He grabs her shoulder and jerks a little "he is hurt, he protected you last night. He needs your love and care. "Give her the tray" Go! Talk to him." removes her hand "I am leaving! Clearly you guys need to talk."

Nadia goes to his room, he is standing in front of the window and looking outside. "Ezma wants me to take care of your fake injuries" puts the tray on the table.

"How sweet of her!" He turns "I wish I had a caring wife like her" eats food from the tray. She rolls her eyes. "Are you ok? I know you are upset ...but I had no other choice. What I did was to protect you. "

She just looks at him, doesn't say anything. 

"Do you want me to leave? Waiting for your response until this evening. No answer, I will assume as a 'No'...I will leave and won't come back. " He leaves.

A look of strain crossed her face upon hearing this.   It feels as though something precious is slipping through her hands as she watches him leave. 

 When he returns home that night, he is taken aback by the sight that greets him. A  trail of delicate rose petals lay scattered across the floor, leading him towards the backyard where she stood waiting for him.  Bathed in the soft glow of twinkling fairy lights, her presence is ethereal and enchanting. Upon seeing him, her lips curve into a cheerful smile. He runs to her and  pulls her close in a tight hug.
