5- Eye Sparkling Mate.

“Alpha your car's ready’’ a pack member tells me. I nod in response and he leaves, I check myself one last time before heading out.

“Atlas, where are you going’’ Daniella asks.

Daniella is a pack member, She’s also my girlfriend, but now that I’ve found my mate Annelle, I don’t think this relationship can last any longer. You can say she was like a substitute but now the main deal is here I just don’t feel anything between us again. I feel bad though, the thought of having to break up with her because I found my mate, but she’ll understand.

A mate bond is undeniable, some mates think can reject each other and once that happens, they’ll just move on, well reality is far from that, it could take years to move on and not completely still, some might even fall into depression and just die. It’s actually quite funny how small elements like us think we can deny a force as strong as mate bond.

“Um…..I’m just heading out to see a friend’’ I haven’t really told anyone in the pack that I found my mate yet because, well, it’s a pretty big deal. Being an alpha, that automatically means my mate is a Luna, and being a human, all this is going to be pretty big for Annelle to comprehend, but she’ll just have to accept it. She has to accept it because the moon goddess definitely didn’t make a mistake by making her my mate and this pack’s Luna.

“Oh, okay’’ she says and makes her way to hug me. About two weeks ago, if she had hugged me, I would have actually found a very slight comfort in it, but now it just feels very acidic. I pull away from her lightly not wanting to hurt her feelings as she can be very dramatic.

I make my towards the door and she says “See you soon’’ which I give a slight nod, finally walking out the door and making my way to my car.

Making my way into the diner I spot Annelle already seated at the far end of the diner. I walk over to her, already feeling nervous, she really is a rare beauty and everything about her just says elegance and grace. As an alpha, you’re trained to be very rigid, stoic and unfazed, so this nervousness is quite a new, disturbing feeling which only Annelle can make me feel. That’s the thing about the mate bond, the attraction is really strong and can make you feel a whole lot of things.

“Hi’’ she says as I sit down.

“Hey….how are you doing?’’ I ask, again this unwanted nervousness taking over. I take a whiff of her scent and gosh she smells so good. I never thought strawberry and peach could smell so good together.

“Um great’’ I could tell I wasn’t the only one feeling this nervous as I here her heartbeat increase when I sit down. I try to come up with conversations which she picks up and let it flow smoothly.

We end up talking about ourselves and I learn her middle name is Emily, Annelle Emily Saunders, her favourite colours are lavender and blue, her favourite foods are mashed potatoes, steak and meatloaf, she loves apples, especially the green ones and would kill for apple drinks. She also really loves chocolate and most food that also have to do with it. She really loves drawing, painting, make up, basically anything that has to do with art. I thought it was such an irony because the course she was studying was a science subject, and to that she said and I quote “Well, in science there’s art and in art there’s science’’. I also learned she hated coconut and was lactose intolerant but she loves milk. I loved the way her light blue eyes sparkled when she talked about the things she loves. I hope one day when she talks about me her eyes sparkle just like that. I think I now have a new interest for the colour blue.

She learned that my middle name is Liam, as in, Atlas Liam Reynolds. She said she was sticking with Liam because it sounded more casual and I had no problem with that because I took it as a name only she would call me. She learned that my favourite colours were black and green, I don’t know, they just go really well together, and that I love mac and cheese and burgers. I love grapes and I used to play basketball. Well I still love playing basketball, but with so much responsibilities like being and alpha and also attending college, and also handling some things in my father’s company, I really don’t have the time.

It was getting dark so we had to head home, I offered to drop her since she didn’t drive and probably had to walk home.

“I really enjoyed spending time with you today…….Liam’’ she said which caused me to chuckle as I pulled into the driveway of the apartment they rented.

“Me too……...thanks’’ I told her honestly.

She gave a warm, golden smile and said “See you in school’’ which I gave a slight nod too before she tuned and made her way inside, and then I drove off, spending the rest of my night thing about Annelle. I know I’m going to have a good dream about her before I doze off.
