Alicia
I am once again being dragged to a party I have no interest in going to. Apparently, there's this new hotshot club opening up across the street that Ava is is just dying to check out. Which of course means she's going to drag us with her.
In all honesty, I just want to read. Curling up next to a good book sounds a lot more appealing but I digress.
I wore a short, black, maxi-dress that ends halfway down my thigh. (Ava's suggestion of course) paired with black heels and gold jewelry. My hair is down as it always is and straightened.
The girls and I exit the limo and approach the massive mansion in which the party is being held. Seriously, this place is huge. It's dark and gloomy, with black walls and slight gold accents.
We march up to the door and push it open. The place is littered with students from both REU and The Kings U. Usually, each college hosts its own parties for their respective students, seems this one hadn't been the case. Just great.
Ava drags us to the bar and pounds two shots down her throat. I turn my head away from it, being unable to stomach the smell. I haven't been able to even smell its rotten stench since that night.
Cecy turns to me, seemingly aware of my uncomfortable expression. "Wanna go over there?" She tilts her head to a seating area.
I nod, grateful for her aversion to alcohol and we both walk over to the seating area and take a seat on the leathered couch. Ava and Glyn following us shortly after. The party roars around me and I feel somebody ruffle my hair and jump into the seer next to me.
"Hey, Allie!" My cousin and childhood friend, Remi grins at me as he takes a seat. Standing right behind me is my brother Creighton or Creigh, with his usual bored expression.
"Didn't expect to see you here, little angel." Creigh says. Little Angel is a family nickname, started by daddy of course.
"Well, it wasn't exactly my choice."
"Of course it wasn't." He says, nodding as he takes a seat.
My other cousin, Glyns' brother; Brandon joins in. Just like Creigh, he was dragged here by our resident party man Remi.
We spend about 20 minutes having our conversation, seems the party won't be as crazy as the usual. Hopefully, at least.
Vaughn
The rest of the heathens; Jeremy, Killian, Garreth, Nikolai and I stalk up to the party. My Kukolka posted a picture on her instagram notifying me of her arrival.
I feel a buzz run through me as we enter the room. I can practically feel her presence. Ignoring the conversation of my friends I march my way towards her and her group.
Fuck. She's going to be the death of me. Alicia sits there, looking all pretty. Her hair cascades down her shoulders and she's wearing a tiny dress that pushes her already big chest upwards.
She's seated between her cousin and her brother, the King family is protective of my Kukolka. They won't have to be for much longer, I'll gladly do the job for them.
She stands with a bright smile on her face, waving at... me? How unexpected. I stand there with a blank face for a moment to feel Garreth brush past me and engulf her in a hug.
Oh, I'm going to kill him. I know those two grew up together because there parents are friends but it's taking all my self control to not rip him off of her and kill him.
I stalk towards them and stand next to Garreth. She looks up at me, a polite smile on her face. It's that practiced, perfect smile she has for the cameras.
"Hello." She says, her voice is soft and fucking adorable.
I tilt my head and offer a vicious grin, her smile turns slightly more nervous. Cute.
"Ah, Allie, this is my friend Vaughn Morozov. He just transferred to The Kings U." Garreth introduces me. My jaw clenched at his nickname for her, 'Allie'. Fucking hell.
"Nice to meet you, Vaughn. I'm Alicia King." She sticks her hand out to me, that polite smile unwavering.
I take her hand and squeeze it, eliciting a soft flutter of surprise from her eyes. "I know who you are, Kukolka." I rumble.
She nods and attempts to remove her hand from my iron grip. After a couple seconds of her cute struggling, I let her hand out, already missing the feel of her smaller hand on mind.
"Mind if we join in?" I ask, waving at the group she has. I don't care about any of them, but she does. To get to her, I need to get tot them too.
My Alicia is kind, too kind for her own good, so she nods softly and tries to return to her seat. I grab her waist and seat her right next to me, tucked next to my chest.
Her eyes flick in surprise as she looks up at me, wide and shocked as a red hue coats her face. Shit, it's so adorable. She's lucky her brother is here, or else I would've seated her on my lap.
Speaking of her brother, Creighton King is currently glaring at me, probably debating the best way to kill me. I tilt my head and smile mockingly, his eyes darken further.
"Get away from my sister, Morozov." He says.
"Calm down, now. I haven't done anything, I just want to get to know her and it'd be easier to hear her when she's next to me." I lie through my teeth.
He doesn't buy it for a second. His jaw ticks and he opens his mouth about to say something when My Alicia interrupts him.
"It's fine, Creigh. Really, don't worry." She says, smiling reassuringly. That's my girl, my trusting and perfect girl.
He gives me one last sneer before turning away, his eyes glancing over at me every once in a while. Time for my Kukolka to get to know me.
