Alicia

Yesterday was chaotic at best, after Bran finding out about me and Vaughn I was in a state of slight distress. Maybe more than slight.

Vaughn helped me through it and calmed down after a nightmare. That's never happened before. Even back at home, my parents and my brothers were never able to relax me without my medication.

My body just relaxes around Vaughn, like it knows I'm safe with him. That he'll protect me. I'm on my way to meet with Bran in about an hour. I called and told him I needed to see him urgently. I need to clear the air.

As I brush my hair, my phone lights up. A call from Grandpa Ethan. Now, when it comes to my grandparents it's usually clear who the favorite is.

Grandpa Jonathon's favorite is Glyn, grandma Aurora's favorite is Eli, grandpa Agnus, well, he's never said it outright but I feel like he favors Creigh.

Grandpa Ethan, however, favors me. Whenever mum and daddy needed a babysitter, they'd just call him. He'd drag grandpa Agnus and be over in five minutes.

"Hi grandpa!" I answer, flashing him a practiced smile. Grandpa Ethan has a very soft face, despite his age, not having wrinkled much.

"Hello, Little Angel." He greets with a gentle smile.

"To what do I owe the pleasure?" I ask.

"Can't a grandpa check on his granddaughter?" He asks, taking a seat as he does.

"Of course he can! I love your calls, grandpa." I say with sincerity that doesn't need to be faked.

"Jonathon is here, actually. Him and Agnus are engaged in a game of chess. Those two," He informs, shaking his head.

"He is? Go over, I wanna say hi." I chipper.

He laughs as he stands up and walks over. "Alright, but just a warning, they're very immersed. So, don't take offense if they don't acknowledge you. Trust me, it's happened."

I chuckle in response. "I find it hard to believe grandpa Agnus would ever ignore you." He winks at the camera and walks over to my other two grandparents.

"Hi!" I announce. Both of them lift their heads at me, faces softening. Grandpa Agnus greets me first (I don't care how cold he tries to be, deep down he's a softie.). Then Grandpa Jonathon.

When I first became a teenager, grandpa Jonathon had a hard time looking at me. I'm told I look a lot like daddy's mum, Alicia, who I got my name from.

Now, I don't know the story behind grandpa Jonathon and Alicia but I just know he couldn't look me in the eye. He's gotten over it after many ridicules from grandma Aurora but it's still weird to think about.

I update them on everything that's been going on, nay Vaughn, which is a pattern I've realized. Telling my family everything, then completely neglecting my boyfriend. They're going to find out soon enough.

Grandpa Ethan might be slightly cooler with it, although I doubt he'd be happy. Grandpa Jonathon and grandpa Agnus? Not only will they edge on daddy's anger, they'll have their own wrath.
