CHAPTER THREE
Girls Like GirlsIt had been a while since Penny had come out to Jay, and within that time frame, she had moved back to the trailer park. She wasn't able to go to Leia's grandparents earlier. She had to listen to her parents yell and complain about everything, usually each other.
Penny was finally able to sneak out of the trailer with her backpack and she got to the Formans' house. She walked in the backdoor and into the living room where she saw Ozzie sitting on the couch showing Kitty how to use a computer.
"Hi, Mrs. Forman." Penny greeted.
"Oh, hello, Penny! I didn't see you here earlier."
"I had, uh... family stuff."
Then the front door opened to reveal a woman with copper hair. "Where is she? Leia, it's mom! Get down here! Leia!"
Penny's eyes widened, moving out of the way.
"How was your drive?" Kitty asked.
"There was a big traffic jam, so I did about seven miles on the shoulder."
Leia came running down the stairs, "hi, Penny! Mom, what are you doing here?"
"Is this the boy?" She asked, pointing to Ozzie. "Is this your sex boy?"
Penny laughed, immediately covering it up with a cough.
"What?"
Then Leia's mom glanced at Penny.
"I told your mom about your friend and her urges." Kitty defended.
"I got you condoms, jellies, sponges, and the ugliest underwear I could find."
Leia took a medication bottle out, "valium?"
"Those are for me."
"Mom, I'm not having sex."
"Okay, so then what is this secret you were telling Grandma about?"
Leia looked at Penny, then briefly glanced at Ozzie, who was slightly shaking his head. "Actually, this is about me wanting to have sex. With a gir— guy. In bed. And, um... other places where people do that to each other."
"You got here just in time. Her hormones are exploding. Constantly drawing penises and boobs. She's obsessed!" Ozzie added, looking quickly at Penny, as if he knew something.
Kitty shushed him. "The president can hear you."
"Well, the presidents are all kinda shit though, aren't they?" Penny spoke up.
"Who are you?" Leia's mom asked.
"I'm Penny."
"She's my girlfriend. I mean, a friend who is a girl, and we're both girls and she's my friend." Leia rambled.
Donna rose an eyebrow at her daughter. Then she looked back at Penny. "You seem really familiar to me, I just can't place it."
Penny smiled awkwardly.
"Okay, look. I am proud of you for opening up to us before you did anything. Maybe it's time we have the sex talk."
"We had that talk."
"That one was all nay-nays, nah-nahs, and hoo-hoos. This time, we're using the real words."
—
Leia was listening to the talk done by her mom. But her mind kept going back to Penny.
"What's on your mind, kiddo?"
"Well... I was just wondering, how would two girls, you know... do it?" Leia asked.
"Why?"
"I'm just..."
"You can tell me. It's okay to be curious."
"There's this girl, and I really like her. And I've been having some thoughts about her."
Donna smiled, "Penny?" She wondered.
"Yeah." Leia answered truthfully.
"Well, I'll be honest, I don't really know. But I mean, at least neither of you could get accidentally pregnant like that." Donna said.
—
Penny sat outside with her aviator sunglasses and her leather jacket on, then she saw Donna come out of the house. Donna smiled.
"Hi, Mrs. Forman."
"Penny... would you say you like Leia?"
Penny smiled, looking down, "yeah."
"Good. Just be safe, okay?" Donna told her, driving off, leaving Penny confused.
Donna immediately seeing Penny and knowing something's up-
