I look at myself in the mirror, anxiously rushing to put on my makeup.
I grab a chiefs colored jacket that Travis managed to get for me after saying how I liked the design.
I added some final touches to my outfit, and grabbed my purse, heading to the front of the hotel I was staying at and got into the black suv.

As soon as the driver pulled up to the stadium I began to feel a pit in my stomach, the same old homey chief's stadium didn't feel so homey anymore.
I was extremely nervous as I haven't seen Travis in months, nor even talked to him over text. But I still fought the urge to chicken out, and walked into the stadium, cameras flashing as soon as stepped out of the suv.
I went up to the suite that the chiefs crew bought for me some of my friends.
I opened the door and everyone's head turned, looking at me. It's almost as if I heard crickets for a moment.
But then Selena came right up to me hugging me, with a smile.
"You came early this time, Tay!" Selena laughs.
I didn't say anything because I simply didn't know what to say.
Selena starts to talk about the suite and how nice the view was in our section, and eventually we both went over to the mini bar for some drinks.
Selena began to walk to our seats, me following behind, but stopped, looking like she just remembered something.
"Oh! Taylor! I want you to meet someone!" Selena tells me, standing on her tiptoes trying to look over the people.
"She's super nice, and I think you two would become good friends!" She says, still looking for someone until her gaze softened.
"Ah! There she is!" Selena points and starts to walk over to her.
"Hey Selena! It's so nice to see you!" A familiar voice says just before I get through the crowd of people.
Then my eyes met hers.

"Taylor, this is y/n! Y/n, this is Taylor! Y/n was one of my photographers from tour!" Selena said introducing each other.
"Oh Selena, no need to introduce her! Taylor and I have talked before!" Y/n looks at Selena then over to me and smiles, giving me a hug.
"Y/n! It's good to see you in person again!" I said holding on to her hug as my heart raced through my chest.
She patted my back and slowly slipped out of the warm hug.
"I didn't know you two knew each other!" Selena says, shocked.
"Yeah, we met when Travis was practicing with the team!" I say, looking over at y/n giving her an awkward smile.
Y/n could definitely read my face because she began to smile back and tilt her head.
Selena and I walked over to the food area while y/n stayed back by our seats, as she already had something to eat.
Buzz.
I look down at my phone to see that y/n texted me:
is everything still okay?? I know you didn't want to share about it last time, but I can tell something's bothering you. I don't want to force you to tell me anything, I just want you to know that if you feel like you need someone to talk to but don't know who, I'll be here. xoxo (don't worry I'm keeping an eye on your seats)
I turned off my screen so no one could see the message but me, zoning out as I was putting the food on my paper plate.
"Taylor? You alright?" Selena asked, seeing that I was obviously somewhere else.
"Oh yeah..!" I say snapping out of the replay of y/n's text.
We both headed back to our seats, with y/n sitting on the far side, looking up to smile at me once she saw me and Selena.
I sat right next to her, sitting in the middle of Selena and y/n.
I immediately look over at y/n, studying her face for a moment, until she looks at me, in which I proceed to whisper in her ear, "thanks, I appreciate your text!"
I felt her smile before I moved back into my seat, seeing her smile in full array.
"Aw I'm glad! I was worried if I sounded a little too pushy or anything, but I just like to make sure everyone's okay, and you seemed a little nervous!" Y/n stated, keeping eye contact with me the whole time.
Me and y/n chatted about little things during the whole game, we barely knew what was going on.
the conversation finally came to an end, following by Selena poking my arm as y/n looked away.
"You two are pretty close then, huh?" She whispered.
"oh.. well I guess you could say that..? We've only talked twice before.." I say unsure.
"Oh? Really? You guys seem like you met years ago.." Selena raises her eyebrows in shock.
We all focus on the game, except for me. I began to take out my phone and text y/n:
hey I just wanted to let you know, your eyes are very pretty, especially in the golden sun!
I send the text and immediately turning off my phone, looking up acting like I'm watching the game, waiting for her text back.
Y/n giggled at her phone and looked at me, with bright pink cheeks and a big tender smile.
She then proceeded to look back at her phone, texting me back:
wow, thanks! that's big especially coming from you, the most gorgeous woman on the planet! 🤍
I look back at phone and couldn't help but smile, feeling like I got transported back to high school.
