The car ride home was so quiet we could hear crickets chirping from the wooded forest on the side of the road.

until Travis finally spoke.

"Are you going to tell me what's going on?" He says, my heart skipping a beat.

"um.. wait what was that..?" I ask making sure I heard him right.

"What's making you so giddy?" Travis asked again, waiting for my response, keeping his eyes locked on the dark road in front of him.

"oh.. um.. I'm just happy to see some of my good friends.." I say, looking out my window.

"Taylor.." Travis sighed.

I kept quiet and didn't say a word, and let him talk.

"I know what happened.. I need to hear your side of this before cutting to conclusions." He boldly said, turning the radio down to silence.

"wait are you talking about..?" I say, asking for clarity, to see if he actually knew.

"Taylor.. you and y/n." Travis looked at me.

"oh.. yeah.. um.." I blanked not knowing what to say.

"so it's true.." he stated, frowning.

"Travis.. I'm sorry.. I.. oh how do I say this.." I started tearing up.

"I don't even know how to defend myself because I was 100% in the wrong.." everything I could see became a blur, with salty tears.

"i noticed our relationship was splitting apart and I realized I didn't like guys and I know I should have talked to you about it and I'm sorry, I didn't mean to hurt you." I rambled.

Travis nodded his head, smiling.

"It's okay, Taylor. I also noticed we were drifting away, thankyou for telling me. I just wish you would have told me sooner, and I could have helped you and y/n get closer.." he laughed and winked, leaving me confused from his reaction.

"oh.. really..? wait.. you're not mad..?" I asked wiping my tears off my cheeks.

"no no, I knew this was going to happen, the day you met y/n I knew, the way you looked at her was special, most would be upset, but I want the best for you. Honestly, I saw the spark instantly and loved your guys' energy together." He smiled, patting my shoulder.

"Thankyou for being understanding Travis." I say smiling at him.

He pulls into the drive way, and turns off the car.

We both head inside to go to sleep, very tired.

"thankyou again Travis." I say pulling him into a hug and letting go.

He smiles, "no problem." and proceeds to walk to the guest bedroom to sleep.
