Chapter 10: Eves-dropping

"This could be a problem." Heesung says after Niki has fully left the room.

"Agreed. I wish we would've known this sooner, it appears that her highness has her claws in him, even if unintentional." Jungwon replies to Heesung.

"I can't believe she preyed on our youngest brother like this." Jake says sparking his anger again.

"I don't think her highness has ill will, I think she was simply comforting him in his time of need which caused a bond to form. I overheard a conversation with the queen and Jimin, and it didn't make sense at the time. In light of this new information, I think this clarified her highnesses character for me." Sunoo says smiling.

"What did you hear Sunoo?" Jungwon presses.

"Her highness came to Duke Jimin's chambers a week or so ago, and I just so happened to notice. I overheard her telling him to be more patient with Niki and that if he continues to be a bad fit, that she would reassign him another roll. The Duke complained about his performance and reassigning him then, but her highness convinced Duke Jimin to give him another shot. That was the basics of the conversation but she didn't allow her Duke to speak down on the boy, which means her highness must have a little favor towards Niki." Sunoo says informing the crowd.

"Was that the just of the conversation? Or was there anything else said?" Jungwon said at full attention.

"I heard some other things that aren't worth mentioning." Sunoo says smirking.

"Any conversation no matter how small is important. What did you hear?" Jungwon says a little irritated with his brother.

"I wouldn't say there was any conversation that was had after their discussion of Niki." Sunoo teases again. Sunghoon immediately turned bright pink, catching onto his hinting words.

"Sunoo don't try to actively piss off Jungwon. Just tell us what you heard." Heesung said a bit annoyed as well.

"It appears Sunghoon has caught on, or have you heard similar conversations." Sunoo smiled wickedly.

All of the other boys in the room whipped their heads around to see an extremely pink Sunghoon, clearly embarrassed. This caused the rest of the boys in the room to catch onto the teasing hints that Sunoo provided.

"So she is sleeping with her dukes. What did I say, clearly a harlot." Jake said snorting.

"Sunghoon have you also heard the same things as Sunoo?" Heesung asked curiously.

"Um, I don't really want to talk about it." Sunghoon says looking away with his ears on fire.

"It couldn't have been worse than what I heard, the queen is a freak." Sunoo said giggling.

"I didn't necessarily hear very much." Sunghoon said still averting his eyes, clearly embarrassed.

"Come on, we're all boys here, we've all had our fair share of women back when we were in Garah. There's nothing to be embarrassed about." Jay said chuckling at Sunghoon's embarrassment.

"It happened earlier this week..." Sunghoon trailed off.
