Chapter 11: Servants See Things

~ Sunghoon First Person POV ~

"Are you finished with all of your tasks for the evening?" Count Haechan asked me.

"Yes sir, everything was completed in a timely manner." I replied politely.

"I told you that you don't need to be so uptight Sunghoon. We are going to be working together for a long time, there is no need for such formalities." Count Haechan laughed.

"Sorry, it's just engraved in me." I said sheepishly scratching the back of my head.

"I think that will be all for the night then." The count said with a smile.

"Count Haechan! Could you possibly go to Duke Kai's wing! He needs some guidance, and he requested you." One of the message boys said entering the room.

"I need to bring her highness her evening tea, she requested it from me a little earlier today, and I must not let her down." The Count responds to the message boy.

"I can deliver the tea for you. Don't worry about it, I have been preparing her tea for a week or two now and there has been no complaints thus far." I said to the Count confidently.

"Ah, I guess you can. Please just make sure you take it to her quickly and if she asks for me just tell her it was an emergency." Count Haechan says nervously.

"Don't worry about it, I got you." I say patting the Count on his back.

Count Haechan gives a nervous smile before stepping out of the room and off to what I can assume to be Duke Kai's office. I began brewing her favorite nighttime tea, lavender chamomile with a dash of lemon. Then set up the tray neatly to deliver to her chambers. On my way there I saw the guards further away then normal and one stopped me.

"Her highness is busy and must not be disturbed. What is it you require?" The guard asks.

"On the orders of Count Haechan, I was instructed to bring her highnesses nighttime tea to her at once." I replied to the guard.

"The queen told us to not allow anyone into the room, but if it is on orders of the count, you may proceed." The guard says a little confused looking to the other guard who just shrugged.

"Thank you, I will deliver this at once." I said walking towards the large doors.

I had yet to have ever been to her highnesses chambers, only meeting her in common areas and hardly interacting with her. I gently knocked on the door, concerned about possibly waking her. I heard no reply. I knocked again, this time a little harder, when the door creaked open just a tad, seemingly unlocked. I took it as my invitation to come inside, assuming it was unlocked for the tea delivery. I walked into the massive sitting room that had another set of large double doors connecting to her bedroom I would guess. I began setting out the tea onto the table and preparing it for her before I would go and knock on the bedroom door. As I was quietly preparing the tea, I heard strange, muffled sounds coming from her room.

I was immediately alerted then, of the sound of a strong slap, which made me rush over to the bedroom door. As I approached the door with haste, I noticed that this door was also cracked, with just enough opening for me to look in with one eye. What I saw made me I initially stumble away from the door, mouth covered by my hand and thoughts swirling around in my brain. I had saw the queen with both Duke Taehyung and Duke Jimin, in what appeared to be a sexual encounter.
