After walking around and losing her mind for a while, Madhu finally decided to walk down, this time making sure to look as tiddy-up as possible.
MADHU'S POV
As I walked down to the living room, I saw Muskan, Raghav, and dad sitting together, laughing as they talked about something. I looked around and heard loud laughter from the kitchen; it's mom.
I walked towards her and peeked through the door, and I saw she was with Aunty Jeeya, gossiping about something.
I turned around to go back to the living room when I heard Aunty Jeeya call me.
"Madhu,......come here," she called.
I turned around and saw mom with her usual scowl on her face. I slowly walked towards them, preparing for whatever was going to happen.
"One sec, I need to talk to her," Mom said as she speed-walked towards me and grabbed my arm, dragging me outside.
As we reached out, she let go and said,.
"Listen, don't even think about telling anyone about your.... problem," she stated, whispering the word "problem."
"Problem....?" I repeated, frowning as I felt my heart begin to crack.
"About this disease," she said, this time looking to the side.
I stood there as I felt my heart break, a pain forming in my throat, stopping me from saying anything.
"I don't want anyone to know that. You are like that," she hissed.
I looked down at the ground as I felt the tears forming, pressing my lips into a firm line. I tried not to let out any sound of crying and nodded.
"Listen, if I hear anyone say anything about this thing, I will make sure to admit you to an asylum," she remarked.
I nodded, hoping for God to do something so that I could just get through this moment.
"If I knew you would end up like this, I would have thrown you into an orphanage. It's too late for that now," she scoffed.
I want to die, God, please.
I felt the tears fall down as I stood there with my head hung low. I saw the teardrop fall to the ground.
I heard the door open and heard some footsteps approaching. Quickly wiping my tears, I looked up and saw my dad behind her.
"What is going on?" He inquired.
"Eh,... nothing, just advising your daughter," answered mom.
He stood beside her and shook his head. He put his arm on my shoulder and said,
"Stay safe, my doll," he consoled.
"Doll,....ha....your daughter has gone crazy," she snapped.
Please, God, just make her go.
"Not as crazy as you are," he hummed, slightly patting my shoulder.
"Go back; Jeeya was asking about you," he said. She scoffed and walked back, clearly annoyed.
"Doll,.....I love you," he mumbled.
I looked up at him, shocked at his words, as the tears started falling again.
He caressed my shoulder and continued.
"I wanted to send you back here for a while, but not like this, but, alas, no one can control your mom," he said.
I looked up, listening to his words carefully,
"I did feel angry when I got to know about this; as your dad, I wanted to hold my grandchildren and play with them."
