EKANSHA'S POV

I finally came back to my room, running as I hoped she hadn't fallen asleep.

It turns out one of the students ended up breaking their arm as they tried to do pushups on the balcony rack.

We called the ambulance, as Raghav and Naveen accompanied the student, I ran towards my room, opening it as I looked around to see where she was.

I caught her on the bed as I walked towards it. And my jokes were crushed as I realized she was asleep again.

"Madhu..." I called her, kneeling beside her bed as I tried patting her head.

She is totally passed out.

I called her again, but she didn't even move around, sleeping soundlessly. I groaned as I pressed my head against the edge of the bed, looking up at her.

"Why do you keep doing this to me?" I asked, knowing I wouldn't get an answer.

"Hmm? You are so mean!" I said, leaning my face in front of her. I caressed her cheek as her face shone in the dim light.

I rested my head on the bed as I looked at her in awe. She is definitely stunning. She scrunched her nose, snuggling into the pillow as I chuckled.

My baby,

I booped her dainty nose as she slept peacefully after snatching my sleep.

I kept staring at her—her gorgeous features—long lashes, arched eyebrows, and slightly pouty lips.

Control Kanu...

I gulped as I traced her lips, wanting to feel them again.

Her lipstick was slightly smudged, maybe because of the kissing, but it made her look so seductive.

I wiped the smudged lipstick as I felt her move. I kept patting her back, making sure that she slept peacefully.

The staring got intrusive as I flinched when I heard my ring tone again. I groaned as I fell on my ass, sitting on the floor. I checked my phone.

"Students caught drinking and brought unknown people into their rooms."

The message was sent by Raghav as I buried my face in my palm, running my hands through my hair. I got up, stomping on the ground.

I sprinted out, cursing at every single person I saw mentally.

NEXT MORNING

MADHU'S POV

I wiggled on the bed as I opened my eyes, rubbing them. I sat up straight.

My head hurts.

I yawned as I struggled to get up. Walking over to the washroom, I washed my face as I almost fell asleep again. I brushed my teeth and opened my eyes properly.

Why am I half naked?

WHAT THE HELL?

My eyes almost popped out as I noticed the red patches and bite marks.

What did I do this time?

I tried thinking hard as I spit the toothpaste, washing my face as I tried remembering the events of last night.

One by one, the memories came flooding in—the dancing, the drinking, me coming here, and then me walking towards her.

"OH MY GOD," I belted as I covered my mouth.

The images of her kissing me, biting me, and pinning my hand in the evening made me blush as I tried to calm myself down.

The memory of me says, "Just take it off." I cringed at the thought as I pulled my fistful of hair.

Why did I do that? Why did I do that? Why did I do that?

I ran around the washroom as I looked at the wall.

Should I smash my head against the wall and go into a coma?

I walked over to the wall as I pressed my palm against it.

Do it, just do it!

I took a deep breath as I swung my head back and forth.

No, I can't.

I stopped just in front of the wall, as I couldn't bring myself to do it.

Why does drunk me always do dumb shit like this?

I gulped as I slowly walked out of the washroom. She was not in the room. Looking around, I walked over to my suitcase as I picked out an oversized pastel pink hoodie.

I quickly wore it as I grabbed the strings and pulled them, making sure my neck was covered.

I suddenly got a call as I flinched. I checked the ID and realized it was Muskan.

I picked it up and said,

"Hey...,"

"Madhu, did you have breakfast?"

"No, why?"

"Come down; we can have some breakfast. I heard the hotel has some good soup, and it's good for hangovers."

I nodded as she said,

"I'll come in a minute,"

I cut the call as I looked up.

Please, God, let me avoid her today.

I took a deep breath as I patted my heart. I walked up, adjusting my hood as I looked around.

No one is here.

I made my way downstairs towards the hotel restaurant. I walked in and saw that it was filled with students. Even the hallway was filled with them.

I saw Muskan sitting on one of the tables. I walked over to her as she looked up, smiling at me.

"Ayee, Shakiraaaa," she taunted as she wiggled her arms. I rolled my eyes as I sat in front of her.

"Damn, you still look good; I am looking like a corpse," she said with a sad pout as I laughed.

"Stop it, buy, I have to say, you are a beast on the dance floor," I complimented as she flipped her hair.

"Girl, I am a Punjabi; dance is in my veins; you haven't seen how crazy I can be; you just have to let the music enter your mind," she said as I giggled.

"Sure, I'll make sure the music enters my mind next time," I said as she nodded.

"What do you want to eat?" She asked, passing me the menu. I flipped through the pages but flinched when I heard a particular sound.

"GANGA REDDY ROLL NO. 117, THIS IS THE LAST TIME I AM CALLING YOU."

I froze, realizing it was her shouting as I gulped. I suddenly felt a hand on my shoulder as I jolted to the side, looking at the person.

It was Raghav, who looked equally worried.

"Haha, you got scared; now scoot over!" He said this as he took the seat beside me.

He looked disturbed, dark circles on his eyes as he threw his head back.

"Someone looks very energetic," teased Muskan as Raghav glared at her.

"Shut up!" he said as he closed his eyes.

"RAGHAV, GET YOUR ASS HERE!"

I flinched as I heard her shout again. Raghav opened his eyes as he sighed and got up. He looked like a zombie.

"Poor guy," Muskan sympathised.

"What happened to him?" I asked.

"Well, a lot happened last night," she said as I felt my heart stop.

Does she know?

"Huh?"

"I mean One kid broke his arm, another brought his girlfriend to his room, and some other group smuggled alcohol, and after that, it turned out one of the students fought with the staff," she said lazily as she took a sip of her coffee.

"Ohh," I mumbled as I mentally sighed.

"And all that had to be managed by these two and Naveen and some other members of the student council as the teachers had their phones off," she stated as I nodded.

"No wonder he looks like that," I said as she laughed.

"On top of that, they got scolded by the teachers because apparently they didn't make sure that the students behaved properly, and Ekansha is weirdly annoyed; she is like a grumpy old woman," she said as my eyes went wide.

"She gets grumpy." I asked in surprise.

"It's like a rare occurrence, but when it happens, it feels like you have to maintain a distance from her," she warned.

"Wassup, Beyonce, and Shakira of our college," Naveen said as he walked over to our table.

"Omg, I called her Shakira too, Jinx!" Muskan chirped as Naveen sat beside her.

"AH, finally some peace," he said, smiling as me and Muskan looked at each other.

"Now, what happened to you?" I asked as he shook his head.

"Nothing bad but something funny," he said as he looked up as he was getting reminded.

"Madhu, how much do you want to bet that Ekansha probably kicked his ass?" Muskan said suddenly as I almost choked on my water.

"How did you know?" Naveen asked wide-eyed as I looked at him, stunned.

"You were careful when you sat here," she said as I snickered.

"Why would she do that?" I asked, trying to cover my mouth and trying not to laugh.

"Well, I saw a bruise on her neck," he started as I felt my heart drop to my stomach all of a sudden, the smile dropping.

"And I asked her what that is, and she shouted angrily that It's a fucking hickey got a problem? like, Bro, are you okay?" He said as I gulped, hiding my face behind the water bottle.

"And then I asked her why be soo moody, take a chill, and she legit just kicked me in my ass," he said while fake crying as Muskan burst out laughing.

"Funnily enough, when we caught the student with his girlfriend, she said, "Y'all really love being cockblockers; do you have a vendetta against someone getting laid?" He said that as I felt my cheeks heat up, Muskan hit her hand on the table as she was laughing hard.

"It felt like I blocked her from getting laid; like, bro, why are you defending them?" He shouted as I could feel myself melt into a puddle.

"Well, bless you; I hope you survive today," Muskan said as she held my hand.

"Why?" I asked, confused.

"I mean, you guys will share a room, right? Be careful that she doesn't kick you out of bed," she said, snickering.

"Yeah, also guys, will you do me a favor?" asked Naveen as we both looked at him.

"What?"

"Can one of you please ask Ekansha if she has submitted the names of the students who will be coming tomorrow?" he said. I looked at the water bottle as Muskan looked at the ceiling.

"Oh, please, help a friend out. I stay sober for both of you; I even dropped you guys off at your own rooms." He whined as we ignored him.

"Madhu, pleaseee," he whined again as I looked at Muskan, hoping she would save me.

"Yeah, Madhu can do it," she said with a clap, getting up as Naveen also got up.

"No, no, no," I repeated as they both grabbed my arm, making me stand as they turned and pushed towards the entrance of the restaurant.

"Guys, please," I begged as they giggled. We reached a hallway that was packed with students.

"Move, please, side by side," Muskan instructed as the students moved around.

We finally saw her, and I hit breaks as I felt butterflies erupt.

She was on her phone, wearing black parachute pants with a grey, oversized loose-fit hoodie.

I gulped as I violently shook my head.

"Please, I can't go!" I shouted as they squinted their eyes at me.

"Please, you just have to ask her one thing!" Naveen said as I looked down.

I want to help them, but not like this; I can't face her. My heart feels weird.

"I can't.." I mumbled as they sighed, and Naveen's shoulder dropped as he looked down.

"It's fine, I'll do it myself," he said, not looking at us as he walked ahead. I immediately felt guilty.

"Okay, I'll do it!" I shouted. He immediately turned back with a grin as he happily said,

"Thank youuuu,"

I took a deep breath as I walked over to her. She was talking to Raghav, looking frustrated.

"Ekansha.." I called her, and she turned to face me, annoyed, but soon her eyes went wide.

"You woke up?" She asked; her voice felt rather awkward for some reason, but I nodded.

"Ahh, good. Did you eat?" She asked as I nodded again, fidgeting with my finger as I tried to focus on her, but her hoodie, which has a zip and is not completely zipped, was making it very hard for me to focus.

Is she not wearing anything inside?

Focus, Madhu!

"I wanted to ask you something," I said as her eyes went wide, a red tint appearing on her ears as she turned towards me.

"Wait, come with me," she said as she grabbed my wrist and dragged me to one of the rooms that was just beside where she was standing.

It was a store room. She turned and looked at me with glittery eyes as she said,

"What is it?"

"Did you submit the names of the students who will come tomorrow?" I asked as her eyebrows frowned.

"Huh?"

"Did you submit the names of students? She will come tomorrow," I repeated as she looked absolutely distraught.

"Yes, I did, but why are you asking me that?" She asked. I looked around nervously.

"That's what I wanted to ask you," I mumbled as her shoulder fell. She looked down as she nodded.

"I'll get going now," I said, looking at her. She didn't look at me; she just nodded.

I walked towards the door opening as I heard her say,

"Do you remember anything that happened last night?"

I froze, my heart stopping as I contemplated whether I should look back.

I turned as I shaken my head, and I saw her eyes turning a bit watery.

Wait, don't tell me...

"Oh,"

"If that's the case, then," she stopped, taking a deep breath as she looked at me.

"Please don't get drunk, or if you do, stay at Muskan's place," she said as I felt my heart drop.

Ouch..

Why did it hurt?

I nodded as I walked over to the door, opening it as I walked towards the hotel.

Why am I sad?

Why do I feel hurt?

Did she hate that I kissed her?

I pondered the storm from the hallway; it hurt for some reason, and I kept wondering if she hated what I did or if she liked someone else.

"Madhu!" I heard someone shout as I turned around. It was Muskan.

She was running as she ran behind me; she stopped in front of me as she panted.

"Why are you running?" She asked between her pants as I looked away. I wiped my tears, which I didn't know had already come down.

"She said she already submitted them," I said, looking ahead.

"Oh, that's great, but are you crying?" She asked suddenly as I pulled a poker face.

"No, why?"

"It's just you look," I cut her off, saying,

"I have to go." With that, I stormed over to my room.

THIRD PERSON POV

Muskan stood there confused at the girl's behavior, wondering if she had gone crazy, but her thoughts were interrupted by Raghav.

"How long do you think this will go on?" He said as Muskan looked at him with a done expression.

"Probably forever," she said, and a chuckle escaped from behind.

"Should we just tell them?" Said Naveen, who had his arm crossed.

"It's hard acting like you don't see it when it's right in front of you," Raghav said, folding his arm.

"What do you think happened last night?" Muskan asked.

"Something big, I dropped her off, and till then, everything was normal," Naveen explained as Raghav went into deep thought, tapping his index finger against his chin.

"Both are wearing hoodies; both have hickeys, and both of them are awkward. They definitely did something," Muskan said with a smug look.

"Do you think it's a one-time kind of stuff, maybe a situationship?" asked Naveen, turning towards the two.

"Nah, I think it's more obvious," Raghav said.

"With my years of experience watching romance, I think this is a classic case of miscommunication," she said proudly as Raghav snapped his finger.

"If that's the case, then, as best friends, we should help them!" Naveen said.

"Let's beat some brains into Ekansha!" said Raghav as the rest agreed and barged towards the hall.
