THIRD PERSON POV

The sun's rays peeped through the window, lighting up the room without the owner's permission. The sleeping figure twisted and groaned as she got up.

Throwing the duvet off, she got up and wore her slippers, walking near the attached bathroom, stumbling on her half-worn slippers.

Once she'd reached the bathroom, she got up, twisted the tap, grabbed a handful of cold water, and threw it towards her face.

"AH! cold, " she said, looking at the tap.
Taking her toothbrush, she started scrubbing her teeth when a thought came to her mind.

"Oh shit, I need to know if she is gay."

MADHU'S POV

The moment I was finally on my senses, I started thinking about the plan as I brushed my teeth.

Maybe I should try to flirt subtlely with her.

but first,

Favourite music!

I quickly washed my face as I combed my hair and got ready to leave the room.
As I reached the door, I prepared myself, opened it, and walked downstairs.

I looked at the living room and saw that no one was there.

Kitchen?

With that, I walked towards the kitchen and saw Aunty Jeeya cooking. I slowly went towards her, feeling a bit awkward, I said.

"Good morning, Aunty," I said. She flinched, turned around, and let out a sigh.

"Ahh, it's you; I almost thought I was getting robbed," she said jokingly.

"Why?" I asked, confused.

"That's because everyone left. You mom and dad left to meet their cousins, while Kannu left for the gym." She stated this, turning back to her work and stirring the pot.

Oh!

She goes to the gym?

"What are you making?" I asked curiously.

"I'm making Aloo Methi," she said, smiling.

"What is it?" I asked, still confused.

"You never had Aloo Methi?" She
screeched, and I flinched at her outburst as I shook my head slowly.

"Well, it's basically potatoes and Fenugreek. Throw some spice, and it tastes awesome," she chirped. Her excitement made me smile as I watched her finish the dish.

Once we were done with the curry, she turned to me.

"Rice or roti?" She questioned.

"Roti!" I beamed, as it was one of my favourites.

"Okay," she responded, and she started working on the dough.

We talked for a while. She was a very funny woman and was way different from Mom.
As we were talking, we heard the door open and close.

"It looks like she is back," Aunty said as she picked up a glass of water and walked towards the living room.

Wait!

I have to flirt with her.

I quickly walked towards Aunty and said,

"Can I give this to her?"

She paused for a moment and then smiled, passing me the glass.

"Sure, go on; I'll finish the cooking," she said, walking back to the dough.
