Hriday stumbled into the house, the weight of grief and betrayal heavy on his shoulders. He had drowned his sorrows in alcohol, seeking solace in the numbness it brought. But as he entered the familiar surroundings of his home, the pain and anger surged back with a vengeance.

He made his way to his room, his steps unsteady, his mind clouded with a haze of intoxication. Anjana was there, sitting on the bed, her eyes widening in alarm at his disheveled appearance.

"Hriday, are you okay?" she asked, her voice tinged with concern.

He barely registered her words, his vision swimming as he approached her. His movements were clumsy, his touch rough as he reached out for her. Anjana recoiled, fear flickering in her eyes.

"Hriday, stop," she pleaded, trying to push him away.

But he was relentless, his actions fueled by anger and pain. He grabbed her wrist, pulling her towards him, his grip tight and bruising. Anjana's heart pounded with fear, and her breath coming in shallow gasps as she struggled against his hold.

"Please, Hriday," she whimpered, tears welling up in her eyes. "I want you, mishti..."

But he didn't listen her further, his mind consumed by rage and despair. He pushed her down onto the bed, his hands roaming over her body in a way that made her skin crawl. Anjana's fear turned to panic as she realized the danger she was in, the betrayal cutting her to the core.

"Why did you do this to me, to my family? Huh? What was their fault? Just because they’ve money, property, are you that hungry for digging behind those mere facade of property, money which are going to be left behind when you'll be taking your last breath. Every fucking thing from this world gonna be stay here other than us, our bond, our relationship. "

Her entire body ached as she felt him penetrating her with such force that it felt more like he was removing her soul from her body than her clothes. It hurt even more when he forced his way deeper into her incredibly tight walls and began striking her in a particularly painful place without giving her a chance to get used to him.

"I think god have deliberately chosen you of being an orphan, wanna know why? Because god, itself knows and gives whatever one deserves. So consider this as your punishment."

Her body froze the instant he said those words. The mere sound of those words made her spirit shudder. Even then, and even now, she recognised that she had erred in taking his remarks lightly.

She herself forgot that she doesn't belong among them and that she doesn't deserve wonderful things in between those fleeting moments of happiness.

Her existence is meant to be a misery, and she is and maybe will be suffering till she breathes her last. She grudgingly accepted her fate of lacking warmth, affection, and—most importantly—family.
