When the hall's lights flickered once more, then died. Anjana's gasp pierced the darkness.

The lights flickered back to life, revealing a stunned audience. Hriday's eyes scanned the screen, his heart sinking.

The credits rolled, listing every employee who contributed to the project. But his wife's name was conspicuously absent. Only her department name, 'Research and Development' was mentioned.

Vedant's presence lingered, his eyes gleaming with satisfaction. As the crowd swarmed around them, the men's team formed a tight circle.

Samarth's voice was low. "We need to investigate this." Kavish nodded. "I'll dig into the presentation's editing history."

Rajveer's eyes narrowed. "I'll talk to the IT team."

Hriday's gaze swept the room, his mind racing.
Who could have deliberately omitted Anjana's name?
And why?

The celebration continued, oblivious to the storm brewing beneath the surface.

But He knew the real battle had just begun.
Protecting his legacy.
Clearing his Mishti's name.

And uncovering the truth that she's been hiding from him for more than four years. He knows that there's something that made his wife do those things, that made her suffer. He still regrets the day when things drastically changed.

The night had only just begun.
And he'll make sure to make the culprit of his mishti suffer till their death!

.

Hriday's parents, seated in the front row, exchanged disappointed glances.

"How could you, Hriday?" his father whispered, her voice laced with hurt. His father's face fell, his eyes accusing. His face contorted in confusion. "Mom, Dad, I didn't-"

The conference hall erupted in applause oblivious of the blunder, as Hriday and Rajveer accepted congratulations from the audience not wanting any of them to know.

"Fantastic presentation, Hriday! And great IT skills." an officer exclaimed. Rajveer smiled, shaking hands. "Thank you, sir."

Hriday's parents, still visibly upset, forced smiles. "We're proud of you, beta. But I would've been more happy when my Anju's work would have been appreciated a bit." his mother said, her voice strained. Hriday stayed silent busy contemplating the situation in his mind.

His father's pat on the back was firm. "But we need to talk. Speaking of her, where's our Anjana?"

Hriday's heart skipped a beat. "Mishti!" he shouted, panic setting in, not finding her around. The situation was in their favor as the crowd was on the other side in the dining hall.
