I'm a drop in the ocean, a face in the sea
A stranger in the crowd, searching for me
In the waves of conformity, I'm swept away
From my true self, lost in the fray, each and every day
I try to find my footing, on the sandy shore
But the tide of expectations, pulls me back once more
I'm a leaf on a windy day, blown by the breeze
A fragile thing, without a sense of direction, or ease
I search for a lifeline, a guiding light
To lead me out of the darkness, and into the light
A beacon of hope, in the stormy night
To guide me back to myself, and out of this endless fight
I'll hold on to my heart, and never let go
And maybe, just maybe, I'll find my way back home
To the place where I started, before the world got in the way
And I'll find my true self, and seize the day
I will find my way, out of this crowded space
I'll be the one shining bright, with a smile on my face
And I'll be the light, that guides others through the night.
