A Mother's Unbroken Spirit

Abandoned, alone, yet still I rise
Left to carry the weight of a child
A father's rejection, a mother's sacrifice
A life once shared, now a distant memory

Society's gaze, a heavy burden bears
Judging my choices, my worth, my cares
Expecting me to be stronger, wiser, more
But the struggle is real, the pain, the score

I say yes, when I want to scream no
To provide, to protect, to make ends meet, to grow
But the weight of responsibility, it takes its toll
Leaving me drained, exhausted, losing control

Mental, physical, emotional abuse, I face
From those who expect me to be in a perfect place
But I'm a single mother, doing my best
Trying to heal, to mend, to find my rest

But still, I dream of breaking free
From the chains that bind, the weight that's crushing me
From the shame, the guilt, the fear, the pain
To rise above, to love myself again

My chance will come, my time will arrive
When I'll spread my wings, and learn to thrive
No longer held down, no longer confined
I'll soar on eagle's wings, I'll leave the shame behind

And though the journey's long, and the road is hard
I'll rise, I'll overcome, I'll be a work of art
A masterpiece, created from the ashes of pain
A single mother, strong, resilient, free from the chain.
