"Wallen! Cmon The game starts in ten minutes!" His coach yells from the dugout. "Okay okay!" Indy says running to the dugout. Dakota hasn't showed up for his game witch is unusual since she always comes. Morgan walks over to the dugout to wish him good luck before his game."Good luck son just remember what I told you" Morgan says. "Okay thanks, is Dakota here?" Indy asks while tying his shoes. "Nope she couldn't make it" Morgan says. "Oh ok" Indy replies semi sad.
At home with Dakota, Bailey, and Sadie.
"Feel better hun" Sadie says as she shuts Dakotas bedroom door. Dakota calls indy before his game to wish him good luck."Hey Indy good luck on your game today"
"Thanks kota why aren't you here?"
"I've got the flu or something I'm not feeling good"
"Oh I'm sorry, feel better I'll try and win for you"
"Thanks indy I'm gonna rest"
"Bye kota"
Dakota hangs up the phone and gets some rest. Indy ended up losing to their rival team with frustrated him.
"You tried son and y'all played back to back games" Morgan says patting him on the back as they hop in the truck.
"Dakota is my good luck charm she wasn't here" Indy says."She called you didn't she?" Morgan asks. "Yeah she did" Indy replies. "Well she can't always come son" Morgan replies. "I know I just wish she woulda been here" Indy says. "Atleast she called why couldn't she make it?" Morgan asks.
"She was sick" Indy replies. "And she still called, be grateful for that" Morgan says. "Yeah I guess" Indy replies as they pull into the driveway.
At home with Dakota, Bailey, and Sadie.
"Honey your oxygen is low we might need to take you to get checked" Sadie says. "I don't wanna go" Dakota replies coughing every breath. "We've gotta take you hun cmon" Sadie says putting her in the car and driving to the doctor.Dakota ended up having pneumonia and had to stay in the hospital for a night. Dakota gets a call from Indy.
"Hey I heard you were in the hospital I was just making sure your ok"
"Yeah I'm fine I should be out of here by tomorrow"
"That's good"
"How was your game today did y'all win?"
"No we didn't, we were all tired from back to back games"
"Sorry Indy, I know you tried your best"
"Thanks kota feel better ok?"
"Ok I will bye"
Dakota hangs up the phone and falls asleep. The next morning she was discharged from the hospital and given an inhaler. A few days pass and Indy has another game Dakota begs her mom to go. "Please mom I'll bring my inhaler and it's not even that cold!" Dakota argues."Honey I don't know if you should be out in the cold like that" Sadie replies. "What if I sit next to the heater" Dakota asks. "I guess, but if you start feeling bad you better come home" Sadie says. Dakota cheers and runs to her room to put her warm clothes on. "Thanks mom!!" Dakota yells hopping on her four wheeler and taking the back road to the local ball field.
Indy was standing at the bleachers with his team waiting for the other game to finish. "Hey Indy!" Dakota says giving him a hug. "Hey kota! I didn't think you were coming!" Indy replies. "Yeah I had to come! But I have to stay warm" Dakota says.
"We have a random heater in the dugout you can sit next to" Indy says. "Oh ok! Thanks" Dakota says as they walk to the dugout. "Here sit down in my spot while I'm playing" Indy says moving his bag. "Oh thanks your sure your coach is cool with this?" Dakota asks.
