Later that week Dakota is at Indy's baseball game and he doesn't realize. He's putting on his gloves when someone hugs him from behind. He turns around and smiles when he sees Dakota.

"Hey! Thanks for comin" Indy says hugging her tight. "Of course!" Dakota replies. Indy is putting on eyeblack and Dakota is on her phone when Indy marks on her cheek. "Indy! Why would you do that!" Dakota says trying to wipe it off.

"Just playin with ya you used to like wearin eyeblack" Indy replies. "I still do but I did my makeup nice today" Dakota replies. "You look pretty" Indy says. "Thank you" Dakota replies smiling. "I'll be over near your dad" Dakota says running over and sitting next to Morgan.

Indy is in the dugout when Colton runs over to him. "How's your situationship goin?" Colton asks. "I'm gonna ask her out man, and we kissed..." Indy replies Colton's jaw dropping. "Dude that's crazy, is she a good kisser?" Colton asks Indy side eyeing him.

"No comment" Indy replies. "What was she not good?" Colton asks. "Bro she was great ya happy now?" Indy asks.
"Yep" Colton replies.

After the game Indy pulls Dakota off the the side to talk to her. "You alright? What's up?" Dakota asks. "I'm fine I was gonna ask you something" Indy says. "Go on" Dakota replies. "Would you wanna go out on Saturday? As a date..." Indy nervously asks.

"I'd love too" Dakota replies indy sighs in relief. "Ok then see you Saturday" Indy says walking over to gunner.
"Did ya land a date?" Gunner asks as a joke. "Yeah I did" Indy replies. "Hold up what?" Gunner asks. "Yeah I'm going out with her Saturday" Indy says.

"Good luck bro, and don't eat like a horse" Gunner says. "Will do" Indy says running to Morgan's truck.

Saturday.
"Cya dad I'll be back by 9:00!" Dakota says running out the door her dress blowing in the wind. Indy's truck pulls up and Dakota hops in. "Hey you look nice" Indy says. "You do too! Where we goin?" Dakota asks. "Anywhere you can choose" Indy says.

"Hmm where's that spot by the lake you took me to that time?" Dakota asks. "It's a secret, but I can take you there" Indy replies. "Yea let's go there" Dakota replies. As they drive Dakota grabs the aux cord and plays Revival by Zach Bryan.

"Didn't know you liked Zach Bryan" Indy says. "I just got into him recently most the time I listen to your dad" Dakota replies. "Really? Whats your favorite song by him?" Indy asks. "Oh I love Quittin time, and spin you round" Dakota replies.

"Wow I'll tell him" Indy says as they pull up. Dakota hops out and walks to the edge of the bank. "This is such a beautiful spot" Dakota says. "Yeah it is" Indy replies pulling a guitar from his backseat. "You play guitar?" Dakota asks sitting on the tailgate.

"Yeah dad taught me" Indy replies. "Play us something then!" Dakota says. "What should I play?" Indy asks.
"We were just listening to revival so play that" Dakota replies. Indy starts strumming the chorus and they both sing.

"We're having an all night revival someone call the women and someone steal the Bible's, for sake of my survival baptize me in a bottle of beam and put Johnny on the vinyl" they finish singing and they both laugh.

"You can sing Dakota! Dad needs to put you on a song" Indy says. "Thanks Indy Ive never thought about singing or anything" Dakota replies.

"You should! Even your dad could put you on somthin" Indy says. "Sing somethin else for me, ya like quittin time don't ya?" Indy says as he starts to strum the melody of Quittin time.

"Puttin in that overtime and comin up with nothin sure as hell ain't for lack of tryin, there's no use waistin' time fightin for somethin when you see that white flag a flyin" She stops singing and Indy smiles.

"You are so good! You could become a musician" Indy says. "I'm a softball player not a musician" Dakota replies.
"Well if softball don't work out musics your thing" Indy says. "Thanks indy" Dakota says leaning over on his shoulder.

"Shoot I better get home my curfew is 9:00" Dakota says. "Aw man I was Havin a good time" Indy says closing his tailgate and putting his guitar away. "Same but my stupid curfew is in the way" Dakota says. "Well let's get home" Indy says as they hop in the truck.

"Can I ask you something?" Dakota says. "Of course what's up?" Indy asks. "That kiss.. did it mean anything to you?" Dakota asks. "Of course it did" Indy replies. "So like you wanna be official?" Dakota asks. "Absolutely" Indy says.

"So we are dating now?" Dakota asks. "Yes ma'mm" Indy replies smiling. "Holy crap your my boyfriend now" Dakota says. "And your my girlfriend now" Indy replies. Dakota leans over and kisses indy who is driving.
"Woah be careful don't make me crash" Indy says.

"Then pull over" Dakota says. "You've gotta get home Kota I'll kiss ya before you go inside" Indy says, Dakota agrees. They pull into her driveway and she grabs her purse. Dakota is getting out when indy stops her. "Wait don't forget your kiss" Indy says.

"How could I forget" Dakota says kissing him and running inside. Indy gets home and Morgan is in the living room with Megan. "Hey indy how was your date?" Megan asks. "Good" Indy replies walking to his room.

One week later.
"I can't do it I'm such a let down" Dakota says after striking out at her softball game. "Your not a let down Dakota I promise" Her friend Sophie says. "I can't seem to hit the ball anymore" Dakota says. Indy walks over and sits next to her.

"What's wrong?" Indy asks putting his arm around her. "I'm a letdown to this team" Dakota says. "Kota, no your not even I have bad days when I can't hit" Indy says. "Maybe I should quit" Dakota says. "No don't quit your an asset to the team" Sophie says.

"Here just take a breath and calm down" Indy says handing her a bottle of water. Dakota takes a second to calm down and goes back to the dugout. After the game indy goes over to Dakota. "Way to run em down! Ya did good" Indy says.

"Thanks indy" Dakota says hugging him.
