Young love (a sequel to fall in love)

12 (17 years old)

"Congrats Indy!" Dakota says giving him a kiss as he walks over. Indy just graduated from high school with a baseball scholarship to east Texas tech. "Thanks kota" Indy replies. "Look at the camera indy!" Megan says taking a picture.

"Morgan get in the picture!" Megan shouts. "Okay, okay" Morgan says getting a picture. "Dakota what are you gonna do when you graduate?" Megan asks. "I'm going to Texas tech for cosmetology" Dakota replies.
"That's great! I'm sure you'll do great!" Megan says.

"Thank you" Dakota replies. "It's good we'll be together in college" Indy says. "For sure" Dakota replies. Dakota hops in her jeep Cherokee and drives home. "How was the graduation?" Sadie asks. "Great crazy to see him graduate" Dakota says.

"Feels like yesterday y'all were little on tour together" Sadie says. "Mom! My baseball game!" Blake shouts standing at the door. "Oh shoot I'm sorry I forgot, wanna come hun?" Sadie asks. "I'm ok I'll stay and wait for dad"
Dakota replies.

Bailey walks in and sits next to Dakota who is looking through BZ Motorsports Instagram page. "whatcha lookin at?" Bailey asks. "your truck page" Dakota replies. "I've never seen you like one of my posts" Bailey says. "Yeah I don't like your posts" Dakota replies slightly laughing.

"Very funny, how was Indy's graduation?" Bailey asks. "Great he's got a full scholarship to Texas tech for baseball" Dakota replies. "That's great so he's going pro?" Bailey asks. "He could it depends on what he wants" Dakota replies.

"That's great! Crazy to think he's graduating and you are in a few months" Bailey says. "Yeah, I'm gonna miss you guys in college" Dakota replies.

"We'll miss you too" Bailey says slightly tearing up. "Are you crying? I don't graduate until a few months" Dakota asks. "Sorry, just hard to see ya grow up" Bailey replies.

Three months later.
"I'm so proud hun" Sadie says hugging Dakota. "Thanks mama" Dakota replies. Bailey is slightly teary eyed and hugs Dakota. "Oh dad don't cry" Dakota says. "I ain't it's just, allergies" Bailey replies. "Oh cmon babe let's get you a tissue" Sadie says walking away.

Indy walks up and kisses Dakota. "Thanks for comin" Dakota says. "Of course" Indy replies. "Crazy were leavin for college in a month" Dakota says. "Yeah it is, but I'm glad we don't have to do long distance" Indy replies.
"Same" Dakota replies.

"We should all go out to eat before we leave" Dakota suggests indy agrees. "Yeah, Dad and Megan's honeymoon is a day after I leave" Indy says as they walk to their cars. "Where are they goin?" Dakota asks. "Mexico or somethin" Indy replies.

"Isn't that weird for you? Like Havin Megan as your mom" Dakota asks. "Not really she's more of a mother than KT ever was" Indy replies. "Hm, cya tomorrow! Love you" Dakota says hopping into her jeep. "Love you too" Indy replies.

Indy gets home and packs a couple of boxes for college especially since he's leaving soon. "Hey need any help?" Megan asks. "Yeah sure" Indy replies. "Kinda crazy your leavin it'll just be me and your dad" Megan says.
"I'll miss y'all a lot, but I'll visit" Indy replies.

"Your always welcome to visit" Megan says. "Thanks mom" Indy replies. Megan smiles because that's the first time he's called her mom. She walks to the bedroom where Morgan is slightly crying as she walks in.

"What's wrong? You ok?" Morgan asks. "Indy just called me mom" Megan says smiling. "I told you he would" Morgan replies.

Dakota is in her room and is also packing her boxes. Bailey walks in and starts helping. "Your gonna come back and visit us aren't you?" Bailey asks. "Of course I will dad what kind of question is that?" Dakota replies.
"Well some kids don't come visit their parents" Bailey says.

"I would never! I'll always visit" Dakota replies. "Good" Bailey says.

One month later.
"Thanks for helping me get settled in" Dakota says looking around at her dorm room. "Your welcome, you better say goodbye to your family" Indy says. Dakota runs over to Bailey, Sadie, and Blake. "Bye y'all" Dakota says hugging Sadie.

"I love you, your gonna do great" Sadie says. "Here comes the water works" Bailey says tearing up. "Bye sis cya around" Blake says. "Bye y'all!" Dakota says waving at them as they drive away. She walks back into her dorm.

Indy is saying goodbye to Morgan, and Megan. "Bye y'all" Indy says hugging both of them. "Bye Indy we'll miss you so much" Megan says. "Bye son I'm proud of you" Morgan says hugging him. "Thanks dad" Indy replies as they get in the car and drive away.

"Damn that sucked" Indy says under his breath as he walks into his dorm. Indy walks to his neighbors door to say hi.

"Hey I'm Indy your new neighbor" Indy says. "Oh hi! I'm Jess" A tall brunette woman says. "What are you studying?" Indy asks. "Cosmetology" She replies. "Awesome! My girlfriend is studying that" Indy says.
"Nice what's her name?" She asks. "Dakota, she's blonde and has green eyes" Indy replies.

"Cool! I'll probably see her around then" She says. "Yep, anyways I'll cya around" Indy says walking to his dorm.

Dakota is at her first class when Jess walks over to the desk next to her. "Hi I'm Jess, what's your name?" She asks.
"Dakota, nice to meet you" Dakota replies. "Wait! I met your boyfriend yesterday" Jess says. "That's cool are y'all neighbors or something?" Dakota asks.

"Yep we are" Jess replies. Dakota is learning a dragon braid when a tall man with short hair walks up to her.
"Hi I'm Dalton" He says. "Dakota, nice to meet ya" Dakota replies. "Southern accent? Where are you from?" He asks.

"I'm from Nashville" Dakota replies. "Nice! That's where some of those famous country singers live" He replies.
"Yeah it is" Dakota replies. "Who's your favorite country singer?" He asks. "Bailey Zimmerman" Dakota replies.
"Oh my! I love him he makes great music" He says.

"I'll tell him" Dakota says catching him off guard. "Tell him? How?" He asks. "He's my dad" Dakota says slightly giggling. "Wait! Your Dakota Zimmerman? That's crazy!" He replies in shock. "Yep, ya like Morgan wallen?" She asks.

"Oh my lord I freaking love him, don't tell me you know him too" he says. "I'm dating his son" Dakota says smiling at how excited this man is. "Holy crap! I'm gonna die I met Dakota Zimmerman!" He shouts. "I ain't real famous, but thanks" Dakota replies as the man runs off.

Indy stops by Dakotas class to say hey before he has practice. "Hey babe how's class goin?" Indy asks. "Good, you goin to practice?" Dakota asks. "Yes ma'mm" Indy replies. "Good luck" Dakota says kissing him before he runs off.
