Pokèmon Johto: Journeys Begun (Male x Male Reader)

S1>01: The Journey Starts Today

𝖮𝗎𝗋 𝗁𝖾𝗋𝗈 𝗁𝖺𝗌 𝖿𝗂𝗇𝖺𝗅𝗅𝗒 𝖺𝗋𝗋𝗂𝗏𝖾𝖽 𝗂𝗇 𝗍𝗁𝖾 𝖩𝗈𝗁𝗍𝗈 𝖱𝖾𝗀𝗂𝗈𝗇．𝖳𝗈𝖽𝖺𝗒 𝗁𝖾 𝖻𝖾𝗀𝗂𝗇𝗌 𝗁𝗂𝗌 𝗃𝗈𝗎𝗋𝗇𝖾𝗒，𝖻𝗎𝗍 𝖿𝗂𝗋𝗌𝗍，𝗁𝖾 𝗆𝗎𝗌𝗍 𝖿𝗂𝗇𝖽 𝖯𝗋𝗈𝖿．𝖤𝗅𝗆'𝗌 𝗅𝖺𝖻𝗈𝗋𝖺𝗍𝗈𝗋𝗒，𝗅𝗈𝖼𝖺𝗍𝖾𝖽 𝗂𝗇 𝗍𝗁𝖾 𝗍𝗈𝗐𝗇 𝗈𝖿 𝖭𝖾𝗐 𝖡𝖺𝗋𝗄．

𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐨'𝐬 𝐏𝐎𝐕

"What am I gonna do Pikachu?" I turned to look at my partner. "Wait, maybe Prof. Elm can give me one at his lab." I simply said, spinning 360 to try and spot the building. I don't think it could be any of these.

This town is SO small. It's like it was built in a tiny forest clearing. There are six houses, and a little mart. All surrounded by trees. There's a road passing the mart that leads out into the forest. I'll see if I can find somebody in the mart and ask for directions.

While walking through the town, I just feel... lonely. There are no people outside, and it's silent with the only sound being the breeze every few seconds. I stepped through the automatic PokèMart doors and approached the woman working the register.

"Hi excuse me, do you know how to get to Prof. Elm's lab. I'm Theo and I have to meet him." I tapped the counter with my fingers.

It's like a bulb lit in her head. "You're Theo? I have a package for you. It arrived this morning for you." She reached under the counter, grabbing a tiny flat rectangular box. "Also, the way to Prof. Elm's lab is you take the road right outside, follow the path until you hit the arrow signs, and turn right when you hit the fork in the road." She told me as she handed over the box.

I quietly repeated the instructions to myself, before saying, "Thank you miss for the package and the help."

She said, "Have a nice day." As I was leaving.

Walking down the road, I looked down at my parcel and ripped off the packaging tape. I opened the box and was surprised to see my PokèDex. It was mine, and I knew it because the photo of me and Quinton was on the cover. In the photo we're holding our partners: my Pikachu and his Sandshrew.

"Remember this Pikachu?" I held the PokèDex up to him, showing the photograph.

"Pikapi! (Uhhuh!)"

Swoosh!

Something flew over us. I looked up, it was a Pokèmon. It had light and dark brown coloring on it's wings and body. "A new Pokèmon! What is it?" I held up my PokèDex...

[𝐍𝐎 𝐃𝐀𝐓𝐀 𝐅𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐃]

"Huh, that's weird. Who sent this back to me anyway.." I looked inside the parcel for a note or anything. A sticky note. I pulled it out of the box and read the sloppy writing. "How could you forget your PokèDex? Make sure you show it to Prof. Elm, so he can do the necessary updating. Good luck in Johto - Prof. Oak"

Who knew it was him. Glad I don't have to worry about this anymore. "Come on Pikachu, let's get there quick!" I voiced as he hopped off of my shoulder and we started to run.

*ugh, I hope I don't see Darren while I travel here.*

Soon we saw the fork in the road, with two arrow signs. The left one saying: Route 29, and the right one saying: Pokèmon Laboratory. "Go, right!" I said once we got to the turn. It was uphill now, and our running got slower. "There it is!" I pointed, seeing the top of a white building come into view.
