a/n: don't forget to comment!!
(y/n) is currently working her shift at the convenience store, stocking the shelves up. The monotonous hum of the refrigerator and the occasional chime of the entrance bell were her soundtrack to an early afternoon shift. It was a far cry from the adrenaline-pumping fights she engaged in on the streets, but the steady paycheck was crucial for her independent life.
she hears the buzzer signaling a customer has entered, "*sigh* next customer," she muttered under her breath, not even bothering to look up. once she finishes stacking these box of ramen, she'll head to the register.
she priced the ramen with the price-gun - her hands moving like the speed of lightning, and she is startled when she hears a loud voice, prompting her to accidentally drop a box of yakisoba back into the container.
"ah, it's you!!!" she sighs, what is it with people calling her 'you?' is it a trend or what??? she darts her eyes to the side, seeing a ruffled blonde haired male, a monochrome haired male and a...pirate? wait, didn't she see these three at pothos cafe the other day???
"If you hadn't noticed already, my name-tag is clearly written as (y/n). my name is (y/n).!" she huffs, giving them the side eye as she goes back to her job, "don't mind me, i'll be at the register in a bit if you need to check out." She offhandedly says.
"ah, gomen, missus. we'll didn't mean to bother you on your job." the pirate-male says, his earrings swishing as he cocks his head to the side, giving her a suave smile, "i'm suo hayato, this is nirei and sakura." He introduces. he's hot...—
nirei has a red face as he shyly glances at (y/n), sakura merely grumbles. All three boys found the girl to be pretty.
"nice to meet you, but what're you guys doing here?" she cocks her head to the side, surprised to see them in the store. oh, right, she's dumb. of course they were probably in here to BUY something considering it is a CONVENIENCE store..—
the three boys, dressed in their usual furin high uniforms, were just as surprised to see her too. suo, the tallest and lean male, scratched the back of his head, "oh, we just wanted a snack. didn't expect to see you working here." he smiles suavely, hands behind his back.
nirei, the observant one, peeked behind suo, his eyes wide as he fishes out his little notebook and pen, making (y/n) confused, "you look...different." did she do something with her hair?? is it her clothes??
the (h/c)-ette rolls her eyes, snapping the straps of her apron for emphasizes, "as you can see, i work here. it's just a job. not exactly a dream come true." she sighs, hand to her hip as she looks at the mountain of boxes she has yet to unbox.
working at a convenience store was hard-work after all. so much to do, yet not much.
nirei blinks at her, pen poised, "why are you working, (y/n)?" ah, so he's an inquisitive little shit..—
(y/n)'s face broke into an amused smile, "why do people work, nirei? i think the answer is quite obvious. ya know, to pay the bills, to afford food, to try and live a comfortable life." she remarks lightly, making the piss-haired blonde flush in embarrassment.
"a-ah, sumimasen." nirei scratches his head, making her sigh and shake her head, a faint smirk on her lips.
(y/n) was about to say something when they heard a commotion outside the convenience store followed by a scream. she glanced at the three young men and instantly the four of them bolt outside, confronted with a sight.
The (h/c)-ett's instincts kicked in, her eyes narrowing as she saw a group of thugs cornering a young girl. Anger surges through her veins, fists clenching and aching to hit something. what the fuck is with guys hitting on girls every second??? don't they have a life to live??!
