(Robin's POV)

6:30 am, I was packed and ready to go. I was standing outside, my mom was far from awake... Last night I couldn't exactly sleep due to the worry that had washed over me. My mom talked with me about how long I'd be gone and... you know how'd she miss me...But I couldn't help but worry what would happen to her when I'm gone... I took care of her a lot, and she took care of me...I took care of the house, I bought groceries, I put in extra help just to pay the bills. I didn't want to feel the dreadfulness my mom could face with me being gone.

A small bus pulled up In front of me. A man came out reaching for my two duffle bags. He took them before tossing them in the back like they were trash bags... I got onto the small bus to see Finney already in a two seater. He had his head against the glass and his eyes were closed.

I myself squeezed through the narrow pathway before slumping down into a three seater. I didn't exactly know how long the drive over would be, but I suggested maybe an hour? Or less. I grabbed my phone out of my pocket before texting my mom. I sent her a short message telling her we just left, and I'll try to call you when we get there.

I sighed while looking around the bus. It was actually nice, the seats weren't ripped or stained, and the windows didn't have random duck tape on them. That was cool. I scrolled on my phone for a couple minutes before feeling someone tap my shoulder. I looked up to see a guy smiling. "Yes?" "Your Phone." "Excuse me?" "I need to take that, part of school rules." "You can't take my phone, it's mine." "Yes I know that sir, but it is against the rules to have it." "Well it is against the rules to go against my will taking my things." "You don't have to be a hassle like the other one." The man glances at Finney who was kicking the seat in front of him now.

"Ugh." I groan reluctantly giving him my phone. He purses his lips clearing his throat. "Enjoy the rest of your ride sir." He walks to the front almost getting tripped by Finney who left his leg in the middle of the aisle. He scoffs mumbling something under his breath.

---57 minutes later

We pulled into a long path that went through a forest almost before going through a gate that led us up a long gravel path. Finney eagerly looked up at what suddenly appeared an old, but luxiorus building. I guessed it was the school. It was white with a common appearance of a gold brass. Along with dark blue flowers guiding the bus to the main entrance.

I looked at Finney who returned my same 'oh fuck' look. The bus came to a sudden stop. The bus driver stood up and opened the door giving us a sorta annoyed but happy that we were finally getting off look. The man who had been sitting in the front of the bus had somehow had out bags already. "Alright you two, Mrs. Dane should show you around...Chop chop." He clapped signaling we have clearly over stayed our visit. I stood up grabbing my two bags, Finney doing the same.

"Hey what about our-" The bus doors quickly shut and the bus zoomed away. "Phones..." I finished. "Dude seriously." Finney scoffed as we watched the bus drive away. Suddenly we heard someone clear their throat. I looked up to see a short woman with a high tightly drawn back bun. She reminded me of my mom... But white instead. "Hello, nice to meet you. I am Mrs. Dane, Headmaster of, Brooksville Boarding School." She gives us a bitter smile. "Please come in." She leads us inside of the school.

Finney follows after her as I briefly tread behind him. "Now I want you to be aware, this school is much more different then your previous one. Starting off you will be wearing uniforms. We no longer have a hair length policy, but you are to wear your hair in a bun if needed, going directly to you Mr. Arellano. Followed by curfews, and lastly you are required to take at least one extra curricular activity. A sport, and or not a club. Oh and you'll get a little more rules once visiting your dorms." She smiles.

----

"A little more rules! This is a whole goddamn sheet!" Finney says looking at his sheet of paper. I looked over to him through the small bathroom we shared, which only had an old sink and toilet. The showers were in one big room. "Like, no drugs, no food outside of the cafeteria, and no unauthorized books? What type of hell hole is this?" Finney continues to complain. "And these uniforms are worse then my fucking dead grandma's whole closet." I slightly chuckled. "Jesus, it's not that bad." "Really? My fucking life with these rules? I might as well just kill myself."

I only raised an eyebrow to see Finney in the bathroom putting his toothbrush in the small plastic cup we had. "And these rooms smell like a hospital." "Really?" "Yeah, it's fucking gross." As I continue to listen to Finney yap for what felt like hours I finally finished unpacking. "So when do you think we're gonna start?" Finney asked as he lay on his bed. "School?" "Yeah." "Tomorrow I hope." I grin. "What sport are you gonna do." "UGH, God please don't remind me."

"Didn't you do baseball in middle school." "Oh my God stop." Finney laughs. "I loved playing it, but my dad was so shitty about it I quit." "So what are you gonna do?" "I don't know track?" "Really?" "This school has shitty options." "Well I'm gonna do boxing." "Don't you always." I could tell Finney rolled his eyes. "It's one of the things I'm actually good at, fighting." "Hm, maybe I should do bowling." "Oh please don't" I laughed. "I'll just do track if my lungs can even handle it." "You have asthma?" Finney goes silent for a minute. "Finn?" "Finn? The fuck'?" Finney laughs.

I roll my eyes. "Whatever. Fun talking to you but I'm gonna read now." "No please! I'll have nothing to do!" Finney groans. "Bye." I say shutting my bathroom door and locking it. Maybe Finney wasn't that bad. I thought as I approached my bed to sit down in and just take it in for a second. Suddenly I heard a small giggle and the sound of paper under my door.

I looked up to see a small piece of paper under my door. I quietly got up picking it up to see in small hand writing. "Hey new kid, sneak out at 11:30 pm, down the hallway to the corner should be a bathroom. Go in and go out through the window in the third stall. Get on the balcony and climb down that ladder and go to the lake if you're down. XOXO Dana,Maddie, And Sidney.

I reread the note before going into Finney's room to see that he too got the letter. "I'm definitely going." He laughs. I look down at the note. "How about you." "Eh, sure why not."
