(Finney POV)
Yes I admit trying to light Robby on fire was wrong. But still, what would the teachers do? Saturday detention? Oh please believe me I have nothing better to do at this point. I don't mind. "Finney John Blake. I believe this is at least the 50th time you have entered my office with a red slip." "No, I think it's actually only the 43rd time." The principal raises an eyebrow at me not amused by my correction.
"Nice of you to keep count-" "GET YOUR ASS IN THERE!" I noticed the familiar face of Robin Arellano. He just rolled his eyes before slumping down into the chair next to me. I turned to see where the voice had come from. I immediately recognized the face of my Art teacher, Miss. Phil. She wasn't bad but she looked enraged. Suddenly the sound of sirens rang. My eyes widened with shock as I looked at Robin. I assumed he noticed as he slightly snickered. "What have you done now?" The Principal scoffs leaving her office.
"So mister smart guy, how'd you get here?" "I tried burning a kid... And they found footage of me trying to burn the school down too." I remark scratching my nose. Robin raises an eyebrow. "You tried killing a kid?" "Yeah?" "Dude, that's fucking crazy." Robin chuckles. "What did you do?" I question crossing my arms. "Well, I got in a fight in the art room, There was a lot of paint... And blood." I looked at him giving him the 'are you serious' look. He nodded.
"Is that why your knuckles are all battered?" I ask. He only laughs. "One of the reasons." I just nodded.
The principal suddenly burst in. "THAT IS FINAL! Robin this is the tenth child you have sent to the E.R!" "AND FINNEY, THIS BEHAVIOR IS ENOUGH, BOTH OF YOU ARE DONE ATTENDING DENVER HIGH SCHOOL!" Robin glanced at me as he heard the name Finney. But quickly looked away as a cross of tension entered the room suddenly.
"BOTH OF YOU ARE LEAVING THIS SCHOOL! WE'RE DONE!" She slams her fist on her desk clearly over the two of us. "What? Like just suspension?" Robin questioned. "NO BOARDING SCHOOL!" I quickly sat up straight. "I can't afford that! All boarding schools are on the South side of Denver!" "Then we will pay, anything to get you idiots out of here." The principal started finally calming down. "Well then that's even better for the two of you.. After all North Denver is shit." The Principal whispered at the end before dialing someone up.
"This is just great." Robin said covering his face with his hands. I leaned my head back thinking about all the insults I would be getting once I arrived home. All the shit I had to go through. The Principal rolled her eyes while whispering something that sounded somewhat important. I didn't care to pay attention. In fact I zoned out until the Principal tapped my shoulder impatiently. "Well that's final, both of you pack your bags, clear your lockers, and say goodbye. You're both going to Brookesville Boarding School." I flinched at the name. Fuck, she wasn't joking.
The Principal motioned for us to leave, and we did so. I knew that Boarding school. Everyone who used to be in this school that was shitty enough to get sent away got sent there... It was rumored that the previous school year, Vance Hopper got sent to the school. In the early winter Billy Showalter got sent too. I knew this school was either for messed up kids, trouble makers, or kids that got sent due to their crazy parents.

I had been in the hallway clearing out my locker finding various empty bags of what looked like once filled weed and who knows what other drug. Robin's Locker was down the hallway, and the only thing he had was medical tape, and an old book. I finished off my locker by grabbing an old sweater and my two math books.
The next stop was my gym locker. I didn't expect to find anything besides a stick of deoderant. I was right.
Robin was waiting for me holding a gray worn out tank top and some black gym shorts with a stuffed duffle bag. He was on the boxing team, so I suggested he had all that stuff in there. "So... I think we'll share a room." I glanced at Robin. "How do you know?" "I just do. I have a friend that goes there, and every room is connected between a bathroom and a small closet."
I looked at him confused. "They're two small rooms each, and they have a bathroom that connects every two rooms together." "Oh so like the 'Call me by Your Name' rooms..." I mumbled. Robin looked confused. "That gay movie?" "Yeah." "You've watched that?" "Who hasn't?" "Lots of people." Robin says. I just rolled my eyes. "Alright boys, your parents should be outside picking you up... And you're getting picked up by a bus tomorrow morning at 6:30 am Sharp." I nodded, Robin did the same.
"Okay get going." My Principal ushered.

I got outside to see my dad tapping angrily against the steering wheel. In the car behind his was a woman who looked Hispanic mumbling under her breath. I held my breath as I approached the car. My dad unlocked the car not making eye contact with me until we drove off.
"So. Boarding school." I looked down silently. He looked at me. "Finney answer me." I just stared out the front window. "I SAID ANSWER ME GODAMMIT!" "Yes dad, I'm going to boarding school." "I'm not paying for that shit." "The school is." My dad just scoffs in response. "And I'm sure I'm still paying for those shit uniforms and textbooks." I just quietly nodded looking out the window.
"You know Finney, I found out you tried burning down the school. That place gives you some useful facts that you actually fucking need for your worthless piece of shit you are. I always wanted a son, but not one that's fucking mentally unable to fucking do shit for anyone. Your grades are whatever and you can't do shit. I help you do everything and you can't do one fucking things since you a lazy piece of shit." I knew I was gonna get this conversation, just my dad telling me how worthless and stupid I was.
By the time my dad finished his speech we pulled up to our small house that looked beat up. We had a crooked busted up fence, a cracked sidewalk, our mail box had various dents along with our front door that had scratches and many unknown markings. Our windows were guarded by cages and our lawn was just yellow grass with common bald spots. Home Sweet home in other words.
I got out of the car tugging my back pack over my shoulder. As I walked I felt my dad kick my shins which I stumbled over slightly but continued walking. My dad slammed the door shut cursing under his breath. I inhaled sharply before walking over to my room. I opened the squeaky brown door to reveal my boring room that once was filled with NASA logos and rocket ships and star wallpaper... Now my room was just painted dark blue matching my old bed sheets and comforter.
I threw my backpack down before grabbing my duffle bag and another one of my bags... Where to begin... I thought of what I was gonna be packing...
I Hope ya'lll enjoyedddd!!!!
