Their 14 | Seventeen's 14th member

𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞 - 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝟏𝟎

Rei went over to her room to sleep but as expected, it wasn't that easy. She wanted to stay positive, but she knew not much could be done since this is an official company decision.

"Hyung," Dino started and S.coups "what if it doesn't work? Like, what if we lose Rei forever as a member of our group?"

"Nonsense, we have just as much power as PLEDIS does. Who do they think they are? taking an official decision without our permission? bullshit." S.coups replies, "Now go to sleep; we have a long day ahead of us tomorrow."

Mornings at Seventeen's dorm are usually lively, filled with laughter and sweet good mornings. But today wasn't necessarily a sweet day, it was going to be tough.

"Are you guys ready?" asked Jeonghan. "Yeah, lets just go and get it over with," Rei replied, in a not-so-positive mood.

"Why are you acting like it definitely isn't going to work? There is most definitely a chance it will. We'll make sure of it; don't worry." Dk said, trying to comfort the visibly upset Rei.

They all arrived at the PLEDIS company, where S.coups had already set up a meeting with Hyungwon. "Okay, listen up," S.coups starts off "if we're going to have a shot at this, we need to make sure we act as professional as possible. Understood?" Everyone except Rei nodded.

"Guys, I appreciate whatever you're trying to do for me but I just don't feel like it will be enough to get the company to change their decisions. I mean, the points Hyungwon made were sort of valid." Rei states.

"Rei, please stop with all this negativity, why did they ever think they could make a major decision about our group anyway?" Vernon says. "Honestly," Wonwoo starts off, "I just think they're fishing for some publicity."

"Anyways," says S.coups "lets go in and make them regret their decision." They all started making their way inside Hyungwons office.

"Ah, look who we have here." Hyungwon starts off as if he wasn't aware of this meeting since 2 am last night.

"Listen, we are only here to have a simple conversation" Joshua says. "There's nothing simple when all 14 of you show up together" Hyungwon laughs and says

Hyungwon leans back in his chair, smirking. "So, what brings you all here today?" he asks, feigning innocence.

S.coups steps forward, his expression serious. "We're here to discuss the decision about Rei. We believe it's a mistake."

Hyungwon raises an eyebrow. "Oh? And what makes you think that?"

"We're a team," Hoshi says firmly. "We've always been a team. Removing Rei disrupts everything we've built together."

"Not to mention," Seungkwan adds, "Rei has been an essential part of our success. The fans love her, and so do we."

Hyungwon sighs. "The decision wasn't made lightly. There are factors you might not be aware of. It's for the best."

Rei, standing slightly apart from the group, finally speaks up. "I understand the reasoning, Hyungwon. But I think there must be a way to address those concerns without removing me from the group."

Hyungwon glances at her, his expression softening slightly. "It's not just about the group, Rei. It's about the long-term vision for Seventeen ."

Woozi steps forward. "And we respect that. But we're asking for a chance to prove that Rei can continue to be part of that vision. Give us some time, let us show you."

Hyungwon leans forward, resting his elbows on his desk. "Alright. I'll give you a month. Prove to me that Rei's presence is indispensable to the group. Show me that keeping her is in Seventeen's best interest."
