The day had started perfectly. The sun was shining, the air was crisp, and the group was in high spirits. They arrived at the venue, an outdoor stage set up in a park, and immediately got to work, greeting fans and preparing for their performance.

Everything was going smoothly until the accident happened.

Rei was backstage, checking her mic, when a heavy lighting rig, improperly secured, came crashing down.

The loud bang startled everyone. In the chaos, Rei was hit on the head and knocked unconscious. The management team quickly called for an ambulance, and the members were in shock, their joy instantly turning to horror.

They rushed to the hospital, hearts pounding, praying for Rei's safety. After what felt like an eternity, the doctor came out, his expression wasn't helping anyone feel better.

"Rei has suffered a significant head injury," he explained. "She's stable, but there's a chance she might experience memory loss."

"Memory loss??" they all said in unison.

The news hit them like a ton of bricks. Their beloved Rei, the girl who brought so much energy and joy to the group, might not remember any of it.

A few hours later, Rei woke up, her head bandaged and eyes filled with confusion. She looked around the room, her gaze settling on the worried faces of her bandmates. "Who... who are you?" she asked, her voice trembling.

The room fell silent. The members exchanged glances, their worst fears confirmed.

"It's us, Rei," S.coups said gently, stepping forward. "Your friends. We're Seventeen."

Rei's brows furrowed as she tried to remember, but there was nothing. Her mind was a blank slate. "I... I don't remember," she whispered, tears welling up in her eyes.

The following days were a blur of doctors' appointments and therapy sessions. The members took turns staying by Rei's side, helping her through the confusion and frustration. They showed her videos of their performances, pictures from their tours, and recounted countless memories, hoping to jog her memory.

Seungkwan took it particularly hard. "Why did this have to happen to her?" he complained during one of their late-night talks. "She's always been so strong, so full of life."

"It's not fair," Hoshi agreed, his eyes red from lack of sleep. "We have to do something. We have to help her remember."

Jeonghan, ever the calming presence, suggested they recreate their favourite memories with Rei. "Let's take her to all the places we've been, do all the things we used to do together. Maybe it'll help."

"Hyung," Dino started, "I'm pretty sure that only happens in movies..."

"We have to try anything and everything in our power though. So let's do it" Jun said.

And so they did. They took her to the beach where they had filmed a music video, the amusement park where they spent a memorable day off, and the small café where they often went to relax. Each visit was filled with laughter and tears, but through it all, Rei remained distant, unable to connect with the past.

But despite their efforts, Rei's memories remained fragmented. She could remember bits and pieces, but the full picture dodged her. It was frustrating for everyone, but they never gave up on her.

The members also struggled with their own emotions. They had to put on brave faces for Rei and their fans, but behind closed doors, they were breaking down. The pressure of their schedules, combined with the worry for their friend, was taking its toll.
