The first duty of man is to conquer fear; he must get rid of it, he cannot act till then.

Room Service with a side of fear
Hiding out in a hotel wasn't the worst thing Olivia could do. The plush king-sized bed, room service available at all hours, and attentive cleaning staff were definite perks. Plus, she was only about fifteen minutes away from the BAU office, which made her feel somewhat secure despite the circumstances.
Olivia tried to convince herself that if everything worked out, she'd be back to her normal life soon. But a nagging voice in the back of her mind whispered that maybe this was a sign – a push to make a drastic change. Perhaps moving abroad was the answer. She could picture herself in a quaint European town or a bustling Asian metropolis, free from the shadow of her stalker, finally able to catch a break and breathe easy.
"I swear, you're waking up earlier and earlier every day. It's kind of crazy. Makes me feel like a total sloth," Ellie's voice cut through Olivia's reverie as she padded into the living room, her messy blonde hair piled atop her head in a haphazard bun.
Olivia shook her head, forcing a small smile. "Couldn't sleep," she admitted, her voice rough from disuse.
Ellie's brow furrowed as she surveyed the room, her gaze landing on the rumpled blanket on the floor. "Babe, please tell me you didn't sleep on the couch when there's a perfectly good bed right there," she said, gesturing towards the bedroom.
"I was trying to write, but couldn't focus. I guess I'm just... stressed," Olivia explained, running a hand through her tangled dark hair. Stress would be an understatement. Her mind was a whirlwind of anxiety and fear.
Not only was she receiving notes from an unknown stalker, but Gideon – the one person she trusted implicitly with her life – had vanished without a trace. Now, she was forced to put her faith in a group of strangers, hoping they could unravel this nightmare before it was too late.
"Well, you know what's good for stress? Food. And lots of it," Ellie declared, her face brightening as she bounded over to the phone on the side table. "I'm thinking scrambled eggs, whole wheat toast, a fruit platter, and crispy bacon. Ooh, and maybe some of those fancy pastries they have downstairs!"
Olivia couldn't help but laugh at her friend's enthusiasm. Ellie always knew how to lift her spirits, even in the darkest of times. It was one of the reasons she'd asked her to stay at the hotel – having a piece of normalcy amidst the chaos was invaluable.
"So, what's the game plan for today?" Ellie asked after placing their room service order, flopping onto the plush armchair across from Olivia. Her eyes sparkled mischievously as she added, "Are you going to head over to the FBI place and have a little tête-à-tête with Agent Hottie?"
