Chapter 8

It was a calm and peaceful Saturday morning, while most students were busy readying themselves for their exams right before the start of the Summer break, Mikoto was not one of them, she wasn't worried as much as the others due to her excellent Academic performance that is fit for an esper of her calibre and that meant that despite Tokiwadai's advanced curriculum she didn't have to struggle as much as her peers.

She was idling near the infamous money-eating vending machine, occasionally kicking it to dispense a beverage to refresh herself. While preparing one of her round-house kicks she caught a glimpse of a flyer lying near the vending machine, she promptly stopped what she was trying to do and went to pick it up.

"Summer Fair at the District 6 Amusement Park on June 23rd Open All Day, Entrance fee for Couples"

Mikoto thought, "A bit surprised that they would even consider hosting a summer fair during the exam period, but it has been a while since I've last been to an amusement park". She then looked further down the flyer to see the price of the tickets. " 16 thousand yen huh? Since when are amusement parks so expensive, it's not like I can't afford it but the price is outrageous."

"Well, it does say that couple get in for free and considering this is Academy City I doubt that means only married couples, in which case I doubt they will check if the two people are actually dating." She then blushed at the thought." Hell what am I thinking ? I can't just ask a guy to pretend to be my boyfriend!".

Meanwhile at a certain boy's dorm room

"Why the hell are you banging on my door this early Tsuchimikado ?" The boy looked pretty irritated, as if he had just woken up.

"Gooooood Morning Kami-yan, I just wanted to ask if you and your girlfriend are planning going to the summer fair tomorrow, I was planning on going with my sweet sister but she is busy with her maid school stuff so that's a bummer."

"First of all, I don't have a girlfriend and second do I look like a guy with money to splurge on amusement parks ?"

"Kami Kami Kami don't be a tsundere I know there's something going on between you two and about the fair, entrance is free for couples so that's your chance my dear friend and you better not waste it."

The spiky haired boy's impression didn't change in the slightest. "Well if that's all I will go back to bed, cya on Monday."

"Cya Kami-yan, I really hope you don't blow this."

"Whatever" he said as he slammed the door shut.
