— Gotham AcademyRoriand'r was starting to understand why Kid Flash had referred to school being a prison. Gotham Academy was beautiful, laced with every kind of sophistication and engulfed by prizes brought upon by their previous students. Even with all of this, trapped in the office with the dean was more than tense.
Tapping her finger on her exposed thigh to relieve a certain amount of newfound nervousness under the eyes of the lady in front of her. Of course, right next to the young Tamaranian was Black Canary, in civilian clothes, under the guise of Dinah Lance.
"Well, Ms. Lance. Your Daughter's applications were beyond my expectations and the direct recommendation from Mr. Wayne were hard to ignore." A sigh of relief escaped Rory's lips, contrasted by the proud smile Dinah wore so flawlessly on her face.
"So, I take it she starts in the fall?" Dinah inquired, being answered by a nod. "Thank you." Rory managed to breath out, shaking the older woman's hand after getting up from her chair. "We'll see you in a month, Aurora. Make sure you buy the correct uniform on our website."
Aurora. Rory internally cringed. It was so weird being called a name that isn't hers, but Dinah suggested it during the process of filling out her forms. Only because it sounded prestigious enough to fit in with the rest of the academy goers. Well... also because Batman thought Rory sounded like a nickname and Aurora fit her better, as if he knows anything.
Rory had already come up with a name with the help of Dinah beforehand, Rory Anderson. Now that name changed. In almost everything now her name was shown as Aurora Anderson. At least the alliteration was cute.
Rory had no idea why Batman was so insistent on her going to Gotham Academy instead of Star City High School like Dinah had originally planned. Although the big money recommendation sent in by none other than Gotham's Bruce Wayne had her eye brow raised.
Connecting dots was easy for her after the brief mention of his assistance. It wasn't like it was hard. Why would a billionaire want to spend so much money on a girl he's never met? The tuition for the academy was near the a million and Batman being so insistent, yeah it made sense.
But why keep her close?
