Mount Justice

A breath of fresh air engulfed the teenagers as they stepped outside; smiles etched on all of their faces. A one piece black swimsuit that hugged Rory's curves, accentuating her height.

M'gann twirled, beaming at the view laid out in front of the group. Rory felt a surge of energy as M'gann's emotions were infections; giggles leaving both of their mouths. "We should hit the beach every day." M'gann chirped.

"First a moment of silence for our absent comrade." Robin dramatically placed his head in his fingers; smirk lingering on his lips. Rory followed suit, theatrically laying her head on M'gann's shoulder; hand on her forehead, sighing. "Wally West, a brave soldier."

The group let out a laugh at the younger twos antics before they finally decided to hit the beach.

That morning was amazing in Rory's eyes, trying food she never ate, swimming for the first time, she even got to play volleyball (and won; obviously Robin and her were bragging about their victory for like an hour), but beyond everything she was having fun.

There was no sense of urgency, no mission plaguing the group, nothing holding them back from being themselves, kids.

The Tamaranian couldn't help but feel saddened for Wally. He was missing out on a day where the group could just be and he deserved that too. Rory knew he was so excited for today only to find out he had school and had to prioritize that. It must've been disappointing.

Unfortunately for him, she was right.

Later that evening the group was huddled in a meeting ready to engage their newest member when—

"Recognized: Kid Flash, B-0-3.
"The Wall-man is here! Now let's get this party star—" The Wall-man immediately fell to the ground.

Rory had to cover her mouth due to the overwhelming giggles coming from it. It wasn't just how he fell, but also what he was wearing. Although his top half was bare, he was practically covered by the floaties, bags, cooler, and umbrella he carried. Also the way his sunglasses landed on his face when he fell was just hilarious.

If this wasn't an important meeting Batman, Green Arrow, and Red Tornado were attending; she would've bursted into laughter and taken a couple pictures for good measure.

"Wall-man, huh? I love the uniform. What exactly are your powers?" Now Rory was fighting demons to keep her laughter in. The sarcasm that flowed out of the blonde as she teased Wally was just too amusing to the Tamaranian. Who was now biting her tongue in hopes of quelling said amusement.

"Uh, who's this?" Wally inquired; finally up and confused as ever at the new character in the room.

"Artemis, your new teammate."
"Kid Flash. Never heard of you." Green Arrow quickly stepped up, putting his hand on the girl's arm. "Um, she's my new protégé."
