"You finally woke up." The doctor said.
"What? Where's Derek?" I said panicking, attempting to get out of the bed.
The doctor just continued, "They were able to pry open that car and you walk away without a single scratch...is incomprehensible."
I didn't care about any of that, "Where is my boyfriend. I wanna see him, is he ok?"

"We don't know yet, he's still in the ICU."
"ICU- where is that?" I asked attempting to get out of the bed once more, but was stopped by the doctor.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa. Relax, he's in good hands."
I calmly relaxed in the hospital bed with my mind on Derek.

"Maybe you're already aware of this." The doctor said looking at my chart.
"Aware of what?" I asked.
"You're pregnant."
I was calm, but beyond shocked.
"Alexandra, we'll give you a moment to get dressed. When you're ready, ring the call bell and we'll bring your discharge papers."
