Episode 6: Mission Critical
Third Person POV
The seven campers stood around Mae who was leaning against a rock clutching her torso. Her eyes were closed.
"She asleep." Sammy said. "The leaves we put over her wounds stopped the bleeding, but I don't know how long that's gonna last. We have to do something."
"Ben said Kash had a phone." Yaz pointed out. "Let's get it, call for help and get out of here."
"But, what about the dinosaurs?" Darius asked. "Now that Mae's injured, who gonna protect them?"
Patrick sighed.
"Darius looked at Mae. She needs help. Our best choice is that phone." Patrick argued.
"The leaves aren't exactly sterile. We're running out of time. Let's split up and try to find Kash." Ben said.
"Small problem. After Patrick's raid on the compound, he probably doubled his security." Kenji pointed out. "And we have no idea where he went."
Patrick put his face in his palm before sighing.
Suddenly the group spotted two BRADs scanning the area not to far from them. They hid behind rocks as the robots began scanning the area. Patrick and Sammy pulled Mae behind the rock they were hiding behind as the green light scanned the area.
Patrick looked down in fear when he felt someone tap his shoulder. He turned around to see Ben pointing at Patrick's knife. Right before the BRAD turned around the rock it stopped.
"New orders received." One of the BRADs said. The two BRADs sprinted in two separate directions.
"One of them could be heading to Kash." Yaz said.
"You guys go. I'll try and get some medical supplies from the snow biome." Ben whispered.
Patrick nodded.
Yaz Brooklyn and Patrick followed the one to the left while Darius, Sammy and Kenji went to the right. Patrick looked back at his hiding spot where his bow and arrows were sitting.
Patrick followed Yaz and Brooklyn who were both hiding behind trees. He could hear they were talking about something.
"It's getting away!" Yaz said whispering suddenly.
Patrick's POV
"What's going on?" I asked. Brooklyn turned to me.
"She's just avoiding the whole, nightmare topic." Brooklyn whispered. I sighed. "Where's your bow?"
"I won't need it." I pointed out as we followed the BRAD catching up to Yaz. We saw it was approaching the door to a concrete building. It put its face in front of a keypad. The doors to the warehouse opened prompting the BRAD to enter. We slowly snuck into the warehouse. I saw the doors slam shut forcing us to the ground. Me and Brooklyn hid behind a nearby crate.
Yaz suddenly let out a gasp. I looked over to see she was crawling back away from a deactivated BRAD.
I pulled her behind the back shocking her.
"You, okay?" I asked.
"I'm fine." Yaz assured. I looked down at her concerned. "Where's your bow?"
"I won't need it." I assured. "What's important right now..."
"Guys!" Brooklyn whispered. "Lovey dove stuff later. Kash is here."
