Episode 9: Dino Sitting
The Compound
It was nighttime outside the compound. The two raptors were sleeping in the courtyard. Patrick, Yaz, Kenji, Ben, Sammy and Brooklyn snuck around them towards the compound. Patrick fired a grapple arrow on to the roof.
The arrow pulled him upward on the roof. He saw Darius who was holding a rope. Darius nodded as Patrick grabbed the rope and threw it down towards the others. The archer peeked over the edge at his friends.
"Ready." Patrick whispered.
Everyone began climbing the rope one by one. Brooklyn began climbing laugh when suddenly the sleeping raptors woke up at looked right at her.
"Crap." Brooklyn whimpered in fear as the raptors ran right towards her. Patrick grabbed the rope and pulled her upwards.
She grabbed the roof. Her hands began slipping but Patrick and Yaz both grabbed her arms and pulled her up.
"Brooklyn! Are you okay?!" Darius asked worried.
"Yeah... I'm okay." Brooklyn assured.
Patrick fired an arrow down at the raptors causing them to run away.
"Okay. Let's go guys. Who knows when Kash is gonna wake up." Darius said causing everyone to follow him.
The snuck down a flight of stairs where the BRAD-X was standing.
The group snuck until they reached the elevator that led to the lower levels. Darius pushed the down button causing the elevator door to open.
"This will take you down to the med bay. There's a nursery next to it." Darius explained as the other campers entered the elevator. "He's testing the control chips on the baby Dino's first thing in the morning."
"What about cameras?" Brooklyn asked.
"Kash has been too lazy to set them up." Darius retorted. "Message me on the BRAD-X as soon as you get the babies out."
The boy turned to Patrick.
"Good luck." Darius said causing Patrick to nod as the door closed.
The elevator opened. The group looked around the room that was full of storage containers and platforms for the Dino's.
"Over here." Patrick said leading the others towards a door. He taped on the panel causing it to open. They were three different doors with labels.
Ben walked up to the one on the far left.
"Brachiosaurus. I'll handle this one." Ben said opening the door.
"We'll meet here when we're done." Patrick said walking to the door labeled classified.
