Yasmina's POV

I stood up and stared at the sun. I heard Patrick walk up next to me.

"We will get home Yaz" Patrick promised causing me to scoff.

"If you say it enough times it's got to be true right?" I asked.

Patrick frowned in thought before wrapping his arm around my shoulders and walked me back towards the airlock. The others followed us as I leaned on Patrick's shoulder. Darius, Ben and Mae all ran through the airlock.

"The plane left without you?" Mae asked. I scoffed. "I'm so sorry. I don't understand what's going on here, but you have my word that I'll get you off this island somehow."

"No." Darius suddenly said causing me to glare at him. Patrick removed his arm from my shoulder "We're not leaving. Obviously, this isn't what we wanted. Like at all. But we can't quit now. Mantah Corp doesn't care if they're hurting dinosaurs. And Mae, you can't protect them on your own. We have to stay until we fix this, however long this takes."

Before Darius could finish Patrick spoke up.

"Screw you." Patrick growled. Darius turned to him confused.

"What? What are you..." Darius started but Patrick picked up Darius by the collar of his shirt.

"We have been helping dinosaurs since we got stranded on Nublar, and every time we do, we get further and further away from home." Patrick growled. Darius narrowed his eyes in fear. "YOU want to stay. YOU want to save the dinosaurs! Did you even consider what we want?. We want to go home! I don't care if we have to ignore the dinosaurs to do that!"

Patrick lifted Darius closer.

"We should've let you on Nublar." Patrick growled before throwing Darius to the ground. The archer turned to me. "I'm heading back to the cave. Are you coming?"

I nodded before looking down at Darius who was starting at the ground.

"Choose Darius." Patrick growled. "This group, or your need to save the dinosaurs."

Patrick grabbed my hand hand led me through the corridor.

"You didn't have to do that for me." I said.

"I know." Patrick said.

Mae's Cave

I lay down on the bed in the cave. Patrick brought me water and handed it to me. I took it and sipped some water.

"Thank you." I said softly.

"Try to get some sleep." Patrick said before turning to walk away. I jolted upwards and grabbed his arm causing him to turn towards me.
